Because they sold horribly.

Personally, I greatly prefer the vehicles.

Ditto man, ditto.

I'm disappointed that the Piraka isn't Vezok, it would have been cool if it was. I mean, I thought the Piraka were great. So were the Rahkshi. And the Mata. And the Glatorian. :P

Vehicles are nice, but the playsets had some really smexy parts that wouldn't have been available for a while otherwise.

Vehicles are selling horribly too. Only reason they weren't discontinued was because movie production required the designers to speed up the sets.

But yeah, I want some playsets.

I think it depends on the product itself, not on the type of product it is.

Well said. But would you rather spend £15 on a cool titan, or £45 of a cool vehicle?

EDIT: I just had an epic idea. If we are having old cannister sets realeased as mini sets, surely we could have titan sized cannister sets? I wouldn't mind teradax as a cannister sized villan, or the return of Keetongu.

Neither.

I would rather spend money on a good set.

It's a matter of opinion.

And that was his opinion.

Dunno, all this canon nonsense is going to bite the story in the butt later on.

No clue how this is all going to work.

It does awfully feel like it's going to the deus ex machina direction.

Well moreso than it ever did. ._.

Nothing is more Deus ex Machina than Axonn's special Zamor spheres. He had two of them. They did that twice in that story.

Horribly?I was going to the shops, and all playsets were sold out!

I'm too,but i want playsets too,and they look like a bit of steampunk(a lot of bionicle and technic with system, but without engines :sceptic: ).

Not that that incident wasn't horribly stretching it, but the set choice of 2010 does seem to be twisting the story in such ways that the entire BIONICLE saga will probably end with a Deus ex Machina. (Hopefully not via GBs)

The annoying thing with the Stars lineup is that we're already finding out about disputable/unlikely storyline details before the year even starts, due to the choice of sets. Tahu is somehow going to return to a Mata form, and a Skakdi that obviously looks like Vezok is actually not, but still has a Piraka title, both examples of how the storyline is being twisted because of the sets. :sceptic:

There's still a few shops near me that still sell playsets, even a 2005 one.

Frankly I Like the thought of Tahu being a trump card, I mean, I love it when storys go full circle especialy since he looks mata :classic:

(first post in this theme even though I'm a Bionicle geek(kinda))

To be honest, all I care about in 2010 is what happens to Ignika once Mata Nui's spirit gets out of it. Maybe a return of Toa Ignika? Probably not, and even if so, it'll be another wasted character with potential in the mess of the overal storyline. Bionicle suffers from too many characters, which can't be helped as it is a toy line. Still, I find it sad considering the potential the storyline has.

It's strange how LEGO keeps 2010 under wraps like this. Sure, Greg revealed some stuff and we basically know what'll happen in the story, but I meant set-wise, and future-of-Bionicle-wise. Normally we'd be complaining about how awful the new sets look by now because of leaks. Now? Nothing, except fearing what a mess it'll be thanks to the Stars.

dude where are you I need that set

Anywho, I don't particularly care about the ending details of the story as long as the sets are interesting.

Here you go. Enjoy. :)

Thanks! I've put that on the first post, so the images should be easier to find for others now. :classic:

Not at the NZ price plus overseas postage you don't.

Nice reference. Yeah, I deleted the .txt set list thing, that's probably why it's like that. When it is public, however, it'll be FANTASTIC.
