I don't remember if somebody had given it here before.

Cool. *Checks out S@H*

And for Bionicle going, to keep it short: Goodbye, I will miss you.

Not now. I changed the adress of Glatorian's picture to Stars' picture.

But if they give category's picture, they will also make a category in short period of time.

Flexible =/= Ben ten. If they're replacing the line with Ben 10 I'm going to get drunk

Flexible = sets completely made out of bubble gum with names like flexruxy and stretchorolz.

The question is WHY are they actually going to stop the line?

I think that "more flexible build" meant more suitable and easier for MOCing etc.

The Stars were a crappy end... they should have at least given us canister sets.

Yeah, that's all I have to say on the matter. Eh.

I agree. Way to give Bionicle a good ending, Lego.

Well, it's a sad way to go out. I cannot believe Greg revealed all the core mysteries in one breath on BZP. They should've been unveiled showly, at the right time, as the story neared its end. THEN it would have been a fitting conclusion.

As I've said before, imagine if the guys behind LOST, halfway through its last season, posted a list of all the answers to all the mysteries on Lostpedia. I mean, the idea is ridiculous. I'm very disappointed in Greg for being so indifferent and unfaithful to the story. A very, very bad way to end.

That having been said, Bionicle IS the kind of story that needs to end. Like LOST or Harry Potter, once the final, central mysteries have been answered, and once the main conflict have been solved -- things that should ideally happen roughly simultaneously -- the story is told. You can add new mysteries, but that would, at the end of the day, be a seperate story. It's debatable how much the Spherus Magna mystery made the past year part of the original story, but by changing the story's direction as early as 2006 to include this extra puzzle, I think they pulled it off really well.

Or, they could have, if Greg hadn't been a cheap hack and actually had cared.

That's the only reason I'm sad to see it go. We still get Bionicle style sets, we still get stories -- with, hopefully, ther own mysteries, in the spirit of Bionicle.

I enjoyed the ride though, and if they make another adventure mystery story to go along with the summer line, I'll be a happy man. If not, and until then, I'm just grateful such an amazing, novel, and vivid series was conceived and realized for so many years. Even when at its worst, BIONICLE always invited to into a vast universe with more to explore than most other things I've seen, outside of this World.

LEGO is about creation. It is also about taking apart. BIONICLE has now seen both, and, as famously said and attested, both of these are really just part of an everlasting flux. And that makes me excited about the summer series in a way I haven't been since the transition from RoboRiders to BIONICLE! :sweet:

Technically, Greg actually revealed the mysteries at a library meeting, and then the answers were posted on BZP by attendance. Also, I'm still not totally convinced that Greg was the only person involved in this huge reveal. Remember, Greg isn't this gigantic Bionicle overlord like some people think he is. He has to both work with an entire story team and submit to the will of TLC, and I highly doubt he would be able to reveal all that info if neither of those parties didn't at least approve of the decision.

I'm not saying it was a good move, of course, but something tells me it wasn't just a "what the heck" moment. I fear that, like so many of the other decisoins made regarding Bionicle, there's something else going on below the surface. :sceptic:

It's irrelevant whose decision it was and where it happened -- Greg still did the revealing outside the story, which should NEVER happen with a mystery story. I can't imagine the Bionicle Team forcing him to spoil these plot points, so Greg was responsible either way. WHich makes him a terrible storyteller.

Don't get me wrong, I like Greg. He's one of the nicest and most honest persons I've ever spoken to, and he deserve credit for his commitment. I've no idea what went wrong when decided to just give away these answers, but it's rather telling. I suspect that if he hadn't been told explicitly NOT to reveal Mata Nui's identity before the very last pages of 2008, he would've done so long ago.

To be fair, I had expected more from him. He has written good stories, but perhaps that was only as a result of his restraints from above. Whatever caused him to go on this spoiler spree, it served only to remove excitement and demonstrate his lack of storytelling skills.

Can't seem to find these revelations. Anyone have a link?

They're periodically given in the OGD and at book signings, once members have asked the right numbers of questions. Off the top of my head I remember the Red Star, Bara Magna's moons, the Shattering, the Core War, the Baterra, the second Mata Titan, Mata Nui's mission, the Makuta's purpose, and the Nuva not dying being revealed in the OGD alone.

Well, there is still some mysteries left about the Red Star. =P

That's true, we still don't know who the beings inside it are... that's all I can think of though. Its function and origin were stated in the OGD first.

I really hate that it's Mata Nui's rocketpack, but that's a whole other discussion.

We don't know everything about the Red Star and we certainly don't know everything about Bota Magna. Bota Magna has potential still.

In any case, the plague tribe has potential. I can't say all mysteries have been revealed.

And there are a lot of cliffhangers to be resolved.

Yeah, but all the good ones from the early years are revealed now. :sceptic:

And while we don't know exactly how the Red Star was made or who's in it, we know what it's purpose is, which was the main mystery.

It was bound to happen.

And at least we thought we knew the purpose of the Red Star; we truly don't know who are living in the Red Star.

Also, we don't know how the Great Beings look like. We don't know anything about them except that they were scientists and they made stuff. We don't even know what they were doing for the past 100,000 years.

I'll bet a 100 bucks we'll find out about those things in the OGD too. I can't remember the last time a central mystery was revealed in the story, aside from MN's identity (which, yes, was really well pulled off).

Aside from the fact we knew Mata-Nui's identity before it was actually revealed.
