Dunno about slot six. It'd be the black set. Maybe Skrall. Maybe Oohnorak (sp?).

Nuhvok.

It'd be more canon than the Visorak because all the Visorak are dead.

I thought Greg said somewhere that if Makuta wanted to replicate the Visorak, he could. Dunno if this is right - I just seem to recall hearing that. :sceptic:

Yeah, that's right.

As much as I would like a Bohrok Star, I don't think it would work at all with the Avtoran torso...

It probably could.

Just imagine it like the Rahkshi star.

Change that head into a new Bohrok head meshed into one piece, with a socket.

Take away axle.

Done.

[shudders]

I'm thankful they didn't do that. >.>

It is really difficult to label a color when it is blended. And Trans on Bricklink is Transparent. Carapar and Ehlek armor pieces are not transparent, they are translucent, almost opaque.

Besides Bricklink's color coding isn't official, it is just how they sort out pieces.

Difficulty isn't the issue. I can't see how anyone, no matter how much they're struggling, could wind up calling Ehlek's face lime blended with... lime. That's two of the same color. It doesn't work.

Carapar's trans black sections and Ehlek's trans green sections are exactly as transparent as those on Takadox. I can see my finger through the edge of Carapar's thigh armor without even having to make contact on the other side. Plus, Ehlek's instructions quite clearly use the colors for trans green and bright yellow, so it should be fairly obvious which colors of plastic were really used in the set.

Meanwhile, if trans. is exclusively for transparent, then it's even more inexplicable why Malum's torso is listed as a dark red and trans orange blend when it's quite obviously dark red blended with the perfectly opaque Keetorange. Seems a bit screwy calling an opaque color transparent, but refusing to call a translucent color transparent, hmm?

It gets worse. Gavla's mask is listed as dark blue with a black top. Three entirely different colors get listed as "copper". I understand that Bricklink's color coding isn't official, but it's obvious enough from the one "lime" Ehlek head and the one "bright green" Ehlek head listed for sale that they're not distinguishing the color effectively. They're causing confusion, and I had thought that was what their reference catalog sought to avoid.

Does it seriously matter? I mean really?

Also don't blame the site for that kinda stuff. It is shopkeepers who categorize their pieces into those colors.

For the folks that might be interested, Cryoshell released on Jan. 1st 2010, "Creeping in My Soul" EP on iTunes, for $3.99

It consists of Creeping In My Soul, Bye Bye Babylon, Falling (Original tune?), Closer to the Truth (Take Me Home) and Murky (another original tune?).

Yes, they're new tunes. The EP has been released tosay, whatever iTunes says.

BTW, Greg has recently answered that the newest chapter of Reing of Shadows has been sent to Bink. Seeing as it's not up, I think he might wait until everything is updated to put it. (Which I hope is this week...)

If it weren't for the canon, I'd say Nuparu Inika would be the best black set. I really don't see how TLC can make a Stars Bohrok look good.

I can see a Star Bohrok looking good posed, but it wouldn't have the snapping-neck-action, and it could only have limited ball-function.

Agreed. IMO, no matter how good a Stars Bohrok looked, no matter how much it looked like a Bohrok, it'd lose all the really awesome parts of what made Bohrok Bohrok. Bohrok were really loaded with action features, and it's hard to appreciate them without those. That might be part of why the Bohrok-Kal were so boring-- the Krana-launching function, their ability to roll into balls, and the ability to dangle from the lids of their canisters were hardly touched on in story, animations, or what-have-you. Despite a Bohrok-like appearance and the affiliation with the swarms in story, they had lost most of what made them Bohrok.

A possible Stars set I very much enjoy imagining is Keetongu. He's a good representative for the year 2005, and a pretty unique-looking set despite its humanoid stature. It'd be fairly easy to use typical Agori-build parts to replicate his physique-- I'm thinking Kirop limbs for his legs and Solek limbs for his arms-- and yet there's potential and a need for new parts (one stumbling block is his head and eyestalk, which would require smaller, simpler parts than seem appropriate for an Agori-build set). My brainstorms, of course, are based on him going in a second line of Stars sets rather than replacing a current set-- I personally love the current lineup, although the Skrall could have been made more interesting.

Seeing as I have Keetongu and half a dozen Avtoran I'm going to have to try a star of him.

To be honest I was going to make the Stars full sized when I got them, but with all these Star MOCs floating around I'm going to probably make a few of those.

Make Keetongu canister sized, so then he is in proportion sort of.

I just saw this and my mind=blown.

I already dislike the new armor pieces due to lack of typical Bionicle connection points, but I don't know how that similarity affects my opinion. I love the nostalgic resemblance, but at the same time it looks disappointingly simplified. :sceptic:

Ok, so it is Skrall star's foot and an old McToran head. But I don't get why is it mind blowing?

First off, Gresh. Second, shape.

Great. MORE cliffhangers, why couldn't they have just wrapped it all up?

Because it's gonna continue in 2010. You want Greg to rush things up and end up with horrible stories?

I'm really happy that

Artakha finally showed up. It's not everyday we get to see the creator of the Toa Mata and various other awesome BIONICLE creations.

It's AMAZING.
