Lordofdragonss Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 (edited) Is that a chrome dome piece in the mini sub set? It's normal see-through magic ball for me... Edited January 9, 2010 by Lordofdragonss Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 It looks like the prices of the trans-red and trans-dark blue rings are going to go down a bit on BrickLink. I doubt that, these are usually next to impossible to get. Quote
metalandi Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 It's normal see-through magic ball for me... Seconded, it's the usual transparent crystal ball piece. Quote
J4ke Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 That mini sub looks better than the impulse scooter, to me. Fun stuff. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Love the mini sub. Hope it is easily attainable. Quote
Delta 38 Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 It looks like the prices of the trans-red and trans-dark blue rings are going to go down a bit on BrickLink. Well, these are promotional sets, aren't they? If they're not released in stores, then probably not. I could barely tell what piece was on front of the Mini Sub promo. The side of the crystal ball piece did look chromed to me, but on further inspection, it's just lighting effects. Quote
_shaddow_ Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 I just remembered something. Yesterday i took a look at the retailer catalogue, and i saw the three new sets from the atlantis line (you know, the scorpion, a big atlant building and one other set). I didn't take any pictures, so i can understand you won't believe me, but i can remember the small set was in effect a scorpion monster (yes, underwater living scorpion) and it was pretty sleek and good looking. The big set was really big and impressive, sorry if i can't remember anything else. Quote

I expected it to actually be alive. No real surprise there. Something doesn't make too much sense, though. So, if the Portal of Atlantis set appears story-wise after they get all the rings, why would they release another guardian (the scorpion/lobster)? Besides having another set, of course. It would make more sense if they released that set earlier, or maybe what they could have done is released some of the current sets later to balance it out. It doesn't seem logical to only release one guardian. Quote
sok117 Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 The big Atlantis set this summer has this giant shark head in the center that opens up as the "portal" and spanning in either direction are walls, Its pretty neat and uses some good mechanics to open the sharks head. Note: I saw this back in November, on a trip to lego canada. Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 It could be the final guardian. The windows on the base, are those lime green or neon green. Neither, they're Trans lime; the new color I'd really love to get my hands on some of this promo action, 'cause they look really good. I like the octopus, because it has allot of useful pieces (for me) but the others are awesome too. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Forresto Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 According to this Italian website Link there is a new Lego board game named "Atlantis". It seems like it might have to do with the Atlantis theme. 3851 Atlantis Quote
Aanchir Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Speaking of Trans Lime, here's something hilarious my brother found while trying to do research for an Atlantis MOC. He was searching Popular Science's website for all the hippest, newest submarine concepts for a sub. What he found was something with a distinctly LEGO Atlantis aesthetic feel, right down to the lime windows. Not sure if anyone else found this back when Atlantis pics were first emerging, but I think it's pretty hilarious. Surprisingly, the shape and design are somewhat similar to a two-pod submarine MOC I made from the parts of my Atlantis Brickmaster set. I've got pics on my camera; I'll probably upload them soon. Delta 38 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 (edited) It could be the final guardian. Well, it could be, but it contains a ring. If it's not a new ring, then I really don't see any reason to release another guardian set by itself for it. Does anyone think there's a possibility for new types of creatures? angel1802 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Transltion please. An old legend reappears (resurface). Quote

Obviously because the Atlantis crew realize the other ring is a decoy, and this is the REAL ring. Quote
Oky Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Apparently there will be a Brickmaster Atlantis book. Release date is August 16, 2010 and the amazon price is $29.99. Btw, how come Power Miners 2010 is pinned, but not Atlantis? Quote

Oky Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Here's 2 trailers for the movie tommorrow Hehe, those are actually pretty funny! Lego animation is getting pretty good lately. The neptune carrier is huge! Or the set is just way underscaled, like the SW set it is copying. I hope someone uploads it online later; I don't have cable to view it. =/ Don't worry, I will. When is the movie on? Tomorrow @ 7/6c. Has anyone noticed that the scientist guy named "fish" looks like Ned Flanders from the simpsons? True. Quote
sok117 Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 does anyone know what channel it will be on? Quote
Oky Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Sheesh, can't you people do some research on your own? It's the same channel as always: Cartoon Network. Quote
