YG-49 Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Uh... Not you? One of my TFOL friends who can't be bothered signing up for LEGO Forums. He's a huge "water theme" fan. That scuba diver (it is right? hard to tell) looks interesting looks like its trans-lime green helmet cover or something? It's the old-style fully chrome visor. Quote
TeddiGramz Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Oh, from the shadowy picure on the left, it looked to me like yet another SW walker. Thanks for correcting my ignorance. Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 It's mostly decipherable anyway, but the translation is something like:Destination located In 2010, Lego dives into the depths of the ocean A mysterious universe, replete with unknown aquatic creatures and buried treasures An ancient legend resurfaces. From January 2010. That sounds like an ad for the Stargate Atlantis movie (that has been delayed). The minifigure looks awesome! Hope the other sets are better than the one we have seen. Quote
Piranha Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Looks ok to me Basically I agree it is Power Minders but under water based Same flashy vibrant colors and plot, sea creatures might be good though I hope we see a Kraken and maybe another Giant squid Aqua raiders was actually decent and had some cool creatures Also clever use for the diver fig, using the technical parts as an air tank However I still probably won't be getting these Quote

Peppermint_M Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 But you havent even seen them! Since when has that ever been an issue for your average TFOL/AFOL? I really would like to see what happens when better pictures are around, how many people will backtrack? How many people will "buy the cheaper sets" and then give rather positive reviews As with many themes I will almost certainly buy every set under and including £10 from supermarkets and high street shops to add to my collection and get hold of the exclusive parts. Ho hum. Quote
strider406 Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I found a bigger picture of the scuba diver. Quote
mikey Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 (edited) I found a bigger picture of the scuba diver. wow! this theme is looking very promising, I can't wait to see more pics/ set descriptions. Incidentally, I was teasing one of my nephew's that I knew what the next Lego theme was. For an 8 year old Power Miners Underwater is as good as it gets... Edited September 10, 2009 by mikey Quote
Front Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I found a bigger picture of the scuba diver. Anyone care to guess how many functions the minifigure "head-gear" host ? Quote
Oky Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Nice sneak peeks! I'll be getting at least one of these sets, if only to get that sweet new scuba gear. Anyone care to guess how many functions the minifigure "head-gear" host ? Well, it looks like you can stick a Technic pin into the side of the backpack, and maybe something into the bottom of the air tanks too, and maybe there is a stud or something in the front. Also, there is a visor on it, but it doesn't seem to slide back. Quote
CP5670 Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I love that scuba gear. I think the visor is the same as the old one used in Launch Command and Space Port (in chrome gold). Quote
Peppermint_M Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 So now I will certainly be getting every set under £10 That looks really good. Quote
BlueBard Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 It really looks promising! I think that scuba gear could helpful for post-apoc or even Space MOCs. Actually I'm the only one remembering the original Alien movie? Hope it will be available in Spain because we're still waiting for Power Miners or Agents 2.0 Quote

Tom Bricks Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 It at least looks like an new head, and those are always nice. Other than that though the minifig looks meh . I hope the other fractions figs will be better. Quote
user Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 check it out!!Click here for the pic on flickr! Andy please! Do you know how to read!!?! You do this with every new theme topic you post pics that we have seen several weeks/months ago! Odds are that somebody has seen it before if you have seen it so look before you post! Quote

---Vertea--- Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Good to see more versatile minifig gear. It'll definitely be worth picking up any set. I just hope we have some new minifig creatures( IE- the manta ray, shark, sawfish, octopus...) Quote
Mirandir Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Maybe I have poor eyesight but I had a hard time seeing anything on that dark picture with the diver so I brought it into photoshop and added some brightness to it. Here's the result That headgear looks new. Both it and the airtanks seem to be a single piece. Oh and the large-size visor is back. In a trans-color this time. Probably in some neon color though... I'll definately be getting at least one of these sets for the diver. I might just buy Neptune's submarine, then see if I want anything else. Quote

Mirandir Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Ahem....It's the old-style fully chrome visor. Well, in my "enhanced" picture you can see that the visor is way to transparent to be a chrome color. And a trans-color would make more sense in a diving theme. Quote
Front Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Look carefully, I "think" the visor is new Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Look carefully, I "think" the visor is new I agree, it looks like it's special to the huge massive gear. Hard to tell from the lovely picture we have. Either way I think the minifigure will be amazing no matter what. it kind of reminds me of a redo Aquazone gear. Quote
