Selander Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 (edited) This is surely one of the most simple designs I have done, yet I concider it beeing a perfect addition to create realistic cargo scenaries, when loading/unloading small pallets on trucks with a rear backlift. The small pallet (tan plate 2 x 4) is a bearing element to keep the two hinge brick top plates holding together. Also, I think it has that correct minifig size.... Ralph_S Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 I really like this. It is very simple, but the best ideas usually are Quote
Milan Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Yes, this is very nice. I like the clean lines of the truck, combination of colors is very well, my favorite, i can say. for the pallet, maybe you should build it like 4x4 plate, EUR pallets are approx that dimension in minifig scale. Pallet Jack is nice, i would lake it longer by one stud. I like this setup very much, currently my job include working with pallets and pallet jack, so it is very nice to see it in lego Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I came accross this website to read more info on this great product: http://www.directind...ruck-71232.html Why, did you bump up a topic from last decade ? And not make a direct comment on it to do with it being made out of Lego ? Quote
Missing Brick Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I think it's just bot generated spam. I see alot of that on other boards. Someone makes a random first post that appears to reply to a thread but in reality just contains a link they want you to click. Should probably just delete it. Although now we're here - that's a great looking pallet truck by Selander! Quote
jfbat Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I agree with you, Missing Brick. This is SPAM, albeit a bit cleverer than the bots we had before which responded to a running topic with a link to something that had absolutely nothing to do with teh subject of that topic. This link leeds to a site that does have something to do with Pallet Trucks, so obviously this bot is content-sensitive. Post has been reported, so I guess it will be moderated soon. Quote
trippybrowneyes Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I like this setup very much, currently my job include working with pallets and pallet jack, so it is very nice to see it in lego I always like seeing "real life" things replicated in Lego. When I see a giant crane or a Maersk truck, I like to think of it as life imitating Lego, even though the real life version obviously came first. ;) I don't work with pallets, but I can walk 50 feet to the warehouse to see a pallet jack. It's nice to see jobs other than fireman/policeman/doctor represented in Lego. My town needs an industrial area! Quote
tedbeard Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I'm glad the thread got revived. I missed this first time around and it is quite nicely done. Quote
harton Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I'm also happy to see this thread. I already see some of his vehicules but not this ones. It now gives me ideas! Quote
Selander Posted April 24, 2014 Author Posted April 24, 2014 Nice but unexpected to see an interest for my old MOC…... and for the first time ever it seems I experienced something positive with SPAM Quote
tedbeard Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 (edited) You inspired a little building last weekend and I finally took a couple of pictures including: I have been wanting to do a delivery truck for a while. I like the taller pallets so I had a little more room to work with. Not really meant to be seen except under a pallet. Edited April 25, 2014 by tedbeard Quote
