OK, so we haven't had a Padme since the podracer set. So I made this topic so you could share your thoughts on what kind of Padme you would want and what set you would want her to be in.

So many possibilities but two that pop into my head immediately are:

1. Padme from the Arena in Geonosis. I think asking for more monsters (eg Nexu) will be too much but at a minimum maybe we can have Anakin and Obi-Wan and a bunch of Battle Droids and SBD;

2. Padme and C3PO from that Clone War episode where they got captured by Grevious on the Malevolence. We can have her ship, C3PO and the Padme of course.

No doubt more will come to my mind later. Time for someone else to contribute.

Because lego is blatently too retarded to make any sets with the appropirate people in them, I'll be glad if we get a padme at all!

Well, basically, I would like to see pretty much every thing she wore, as well as other female figs. Mainly Geonosis Arena, and her Queen wardrobe would make me happy, as well as maybe pregnant Padme'

But lets face it, TLG has only released 1 variation of many, but every variation of Leia possible, so Padme's daughter is simply more popular amongst fans. :sceptic:

The lack of Padme figures has been one of the great crimes of the Lego Star Wars line. We've got more than one worthless nobody like the two alien Jedi (yes, I know their names but as they're not mentioned by name in the films, it's rather irrelevant what they are called) but a major character like Padme is relegated to two copies of the same figure from the first year's release. That's just sad.

Some suggestions

1. Geonosis Padme in the Geonosis Battle: Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Padme, a couple of clones and some droids. Not too pricey unless they threw in Dooku and his speeder and escort ships.

2. Queen Amidala (and flesh Padme as Handmaiden) in Queen Amidala's Starship: From Episode I, the big chrome ship would feature two versions of her (or if you prefer, Padme and her double). Lego's late-year pricey Star Wars exclusive set would be the perfect choice for such a selection. Take a standard (Tantive-IV, Republic Cruiser, etc) $150 set and crank the price up to $250 by giving it a chrome exterior and including those two figs plus Obi-Wan, Anakin, Qui-Gonn, R2, Jar-Jar and the captain.

3. Padme with her ship from Episode III: Include an Obi-Wan and Anakin for a recreation of the scene from the end of Revenge of the Sith. Again, chrome could drive the price up but considering that they've done that with non-chrome sets, what's the difference nowadays?

4. An alternative to #1 would be Anakin and Padme and her ship from Episode II, from Naboo to Geonosis.

Id love a new padme in flesh and clone wars style. I like how in the series she does more fighting instead of just political tasks which means she having more of a bigger role. Id love to see her in a set form the episode "Blue shadow Virus in those jumpsuits that her and jar jar wore.

I think next year is the year for a padme come back! :classic:

I'm not much into Star Wars BUT if we get a pregnant Padme I would surely buy the set it comes with

But all the other alternatives is good too, just bring us more female minifigs TLG! :sing::wink:

Just not a Clone Wars version, please. She looked horrible in that.

Geonosis should be nice. White suits are nice for female minifigs.

It's probably due to Leia in a bikini in ep. VI. If we had a movie with Padme in a sexy outfit, I'm sure her popularity among fans would grow(I personally liked her better than Leia).

A pregnant Padme will be interesting. Wonder how it will be implemented. A new mould for the torso? Or do you try to achieve the pregnant effect with a special piece that fits over the torso (like an armour, Chewie, Ewoks type piece)?

Probably a little bulge print on it that looks like the stomach is extending out.

That will be a little disappointing but I guess its better than nothing.

I have a theory: Portman doesn't approve to being made into a LEGO minifig. She might have seen the one released and said "no more of that". I guess Lucas owns the rights, but she might have something to say as well. A bit far fetched, I know, but a theory none the less...

That's a very good point. But why wouldn't she mind being made into Lego?

Considering that she probably signed a contract regarding licensed merchandise (lest we wouldn't have seen one mini-figure to say nothing of all the action figures out there), that wouldn't hold up. It's also not a theory, it's a hypothesis.

Skafte thats a pretty good theory but it would be awfully selfish of her. I guess if that theory was true then lego could do a padme minfig from the clone wars because she doesnt voice her and has no real relation other than a slight resemblance and even then the characters dont really look like their live action counterparts.

Doesn't hold water since Lucas holds the exclusive rights t the character, since it's not a physical description of her person, she has no say.

Well certainly Portman wouldn't want that thing from the Clone Wars to portray her! "My eyes are not that big!"

Maybe TLG thinks she's too boring of a character, but that doesn't really make sense. I'd put my money on a new one coming out sometime next year.

There's only a few sets that TLC can make that has padme in, which would sell well.

Updated podracer sets (obviously) (flesh padme)

sets of the various naboo crusiers. (various queen outfits)

Geonosis arena. (ripped dress.)

retaking of theed palace (with captain panaka.)

I mean come on, what are the chances of TLC making a set based on the fireside scene from EPII or the scene where she gives birth.

You might be right with PT but there's materials from CW that can be the basis of bankable sets for TLC and with Season 2 coming out the scope for bankable sets must be increasing. Its just funny how out of all the main characters Padme featured so little in Lego sets.

Point taken. They may have had it in the game, but that went with the story. I don't think (most) kids would buy a childbirth set unless they were BIG collectors. As Obi-Wan says in episode III ,"What a pity".

It actually was a theroy, a hypothesis is something that can be tested... :hmpf:

I have a feeling (more realistically, a hope) that Padme will be made in Lego before the liscense runs up. I can't believe we have only seen her once so far, she is one of the main characters in the PT. With her playing a big part in the CW, I think its very possible we will see her soon...
