fallentomato Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Just did this for fun I based it on this pic. Hope you like them. Quote
Oky Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Awesome! I've been anticipating these. They all look perfect, even Scooby! The only problem is that Fred has freckles. Now all you need is a Mystery Machine! Quote
Ralph_S Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Very nice. From the title I expected to see some modded parts, but this is far better . They are instantly recognisable. Cheers, Ralph Quote
fallentomato Posted August 16, 2009 Author Posted August 16, 2009 Awesome! I've been anticipating these. They all look perfect, even Scooby! The only problem is that Fred has freckles. Yeah he stole Velma's freckles. Now all you need is a Mystery Machine! Darn you! I was perfectly content just making these figs. Now I'm going to have to go and try and make that too! And I'm really bad at making things with wheels... Quote
badboytje88 Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Very very nice figures. I love the fact that they are 100% official! Quote
LegoLyons Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Good stuff, love the band on Scooby and the legs on the girls. Great work Quote
Rick Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Indeed, nice that you did all of this without modded parts. Not even stickers. Quote
JCC1004 Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Nice. Didn't Daphne have her hair out and not in a pony tail? There instantly reconizable. Good work. Quote
The Who Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 (edited) Nice. Didn't Daphne have her hair out and not in a pony tail?Yes, her hair was always out.Still nice, looking forward to the Mystery Machine. EDIT: I would suggest using Mary Jane's long orange hair, from the Spider man fig. Edited August 17, 2009 by booger540 Quote
Commander Flash Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 That is one recognizable cast into lego Freddie with his neck thing, shaggy with his little goatee thing, velma's glasses, and scooby's collar. Great job Quote
fallentomato Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 I would suggest using Mary Jane's long orange hair, from the Spider man fig. Yup, that's the one I'd use if I had it. They're pretty expensive on Bricklink though... Quote
The Who Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 (edited) Yup, that's the one I'd use if I had it. They're pretty expensive on Bricklink though... Not really, they're kind of cheap. It would be better to buy the whole figure, though. This figure. Edited August 19, 2009 by booger540 Quote
Matn Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Awesome! It's all purist, but it's all just perfect. Great job. A mystery machine would indeed be great to see. Quote
fallentomato Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 Not really, they're kind of cheap. it would be better to buy the whole figure, though. This figure. Yeah, I don't think $2.50 is cheap for a single hairpiece. $4-5 for the whole fig isn't bad, so maybe I'll add one in to my next BL order. Quote
Inconspicuous Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Like, groovy man! These are some nice custom figs fallentomato! A Mystery Machine would be awesome, but quite difficult. I still think it would be fun. Quote
prateek Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 It looks amazing! My favourite is Daphne. Quote
fallentomato Posted August 18, 2009 Author Posted August 18, 2009 A Mystery Machine would be awesome, but quite difficult. I still think it would be fun. Yeah, I'll have to start hoarding turquoise pieces. I guess I could use light blue instead (like Proudlove did) since it is an easier color to work in for a couple reasons (variety of parts, as well as overall brick quality), but I do have some turquoise already and I'm certainly not using it for much else. It looks amazing! My favourite is Daphne. Glad to hear it, she was the one I was least pleased with, but I'm glad someone is giving her some love. Quote
Milan Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Super cool! One suggestion, I would just make Daphne's legs in purple, since she is wearing purple pantyhose! Quote
saberwing Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Great customs! Nice use of the rubber band as well! Quote
the Inventor Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Nicely done customs. Good luck with the Mystery Machine. the Inventor Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Outstanding! I've thought about building the old Scooby gang as well, but these figs are the best I've seen. Great job. Quote
samthelegoman1 Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Brings back memories. Now all they need is the Myserty Machine! Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Haha. Nice job. I think Shaggy needs to be holding a turkey leg! Quote
