Posted August 17, 200915 yr I father has been busy this past few weeks so he hasn't got round to paying all the Invoices of my Bricklink orders. However, they still seem to send the Cancelled orders... I had a order for 42 Yellow Windows and the Seller cancelled it because my father was busy, and I recieved it last week, and just this morning I recieved a order that was cancelled a week ago for 200 Dark Tan Tiles. Are they secretly charging me or just forgot they sent it?
August 17, 200915 yr Author It is possible your dad payed them and you didn't know it. Well my dad definitely knows he didn't pay for the Window one. But I don't know about this one.
August 17, 200915 yr I'm prety sure that the only way they can get your money is if you send it to them. they can't charge you without your permission. Just do what Booger540 said and hopefully this will be cleared up.
August 17, 200915 yr Author Did you concact the sellers asking about this? No, Because if I say I recieved it a week ago, they would wonder why I have kept them. Also, Free lego, I know it sounds bad but, you would do the same! I was just wondering whether its hapened to anyone else?
August 17, 200915 yr It seems a bit strange that they would send your order until you've paid for it, but if you don't think you've paid for it, you should definitely contact the seller about it. If it's an error on their part for sending it, I'm sure they would be able to give you the money for postage of the pieces back, or they might decided to let you keep the parts for free. It sounds more likely that your dad has payed for the orders without you knowing though.
August 17, 200915 yr .....I know it sounds bad but, you would do the same! That is not the way to sort this out! Shame on you! Bricklink is a system that is largely based on confidence and people trusting each other. Most Bricklink sellers are Lego collectors themselves so by not paying someone you are likely to hit a fellow Lego enthousiast in the wallet. Besides, you were already ordering those pieces so you have the money to pay for them... Just e-mail the seller and prove that you are trustworthy, people will love you for it.
August 17, 200915 yr Also, Free lego, I know it sounds bad but, you would do the same! No, I would not do the same. I believe in karma, what goes around comes around, do the right thing, and all of that. I'm with simonwillems on this. Ahab out...........
August 17, 200915 yr As appetizing as free Lego is, I would send it back. If a free Chrome Gold C-3PO and Greedo package that was sent to my neighbors but mistakenly arrived at my door, I'd give it to them. Plus, if you ever want to buy something from that seller again, say if you find the perfect deal for something new, then you'd be out of luck. I'd contact them and see what happened. Usually sellers don't ship things out until after you've paid.
August 17, 200915 yr I think you should contact the seller to clear it up. Keeping them is definitely not the right thing to do in my book. I won't be surprised if they work out what happened later and contact you. You much rather get in touch with them before they get in touch with you.
August 18, 200915 yr I think that what happened is many sellers will send you your order if they look on your bricklink page and see that you have enough positive commits or something like that. I would contact the sellers and inform them that you either will send the bricks back or that you plan to pay otherwise they can mark you as a non paying buyer and you could get banned from many stores.

I was just wondering whether its hapened to anyone else? It's not "free" LEGO... someone is paying for it, and that is the seller. To me, it's simply STOLEN Lego... Sad...
August 18, 200915 yr Author Just to update, I just found out my dad did pay for them. The one he didn't pay for was from guy called JuergenL because we did not need the bricks any longer, but he still marked us as Unpaying buyer and blocked me for his store, the idiot... So, This lego is rightfully mine now And the money is rightfully his

My dad was to busy, the guy didn't give us enough time to reply. He cancelled it within 2 days after the invoice was sent. And don't you dare try to call my father an idiot!

Nobody called your father an idiot, but it seems clear that you don't quite understand how Bricklink works. Bricklink is based, mainly, on trust. When you place an order, you are expected to pay for it, not to cancel it. You may ask yourself why this is this way. Well, basically, when you place an order, the store takes those pieces from their inventory, thus preventing other buyers from buying those pieces. So, when you cancel an order you leave the shop, not only without the purchase, but also, without other possible purchases. You should consider the way you manage yourself in Bricklink, otherwise, you'll pretty soon get banned by all stores. It seems you're a young user (I infer this from the fact that your dad is paying for your bricks), so, if you wish to use services intended for ADULTS (as Bricklink and this site are) you should mind behaving as such.

It was one order that cancelled. Also, I know this may sounds wrong but every single piece I ordered the seller had at least 100 more of in stock. So I was not preventing anyone from buying those items. Anyway, Its over now. I have my bricks, He has his bricks.

Whoa, I never said that and did not mean to imply that, I was mearly saying, he put you as a non-paying buyer and that's actually what you did, you bought somethign and then didn't pay. Maybe he required payment within 24 hours? I would have contacted him and tried to straighten it out. Again, your father is NOT an idiot and I'm not the bricklink police so I'll stay out of your business. Maybe you should set up your own payment options instead of having to rely on your Dad, he sounds busy, as most parents are. I know I would hate having to rely on someone else to make payments. Just a thought. Cheers

Just a thought. Cheers Im sorry if I sounded harsh. But isn't that a bit stupid though? Payment in 24 Hours! I understand that It would be good for me to get my own Payment account but I don't really like the sound of making orders without my dads say so. I mean my HMS Unicorn MOC (All these orders go towards it) should have been completed by about 2 Weeks ago. But, Since my dad has been busy (putting in a new kitchen floor) I haven't really had to courage to bug him about the orders. I don't really want to say, Dad can you answer the invoice? Dad? Dad? Dad? and so on. Because I know that would annoy him. Also, Since these orders are of a high sum of money (comes to £360) I want to let the orders down easy, a few at a time, so it doesn't seem so costly, and hopefully. Just hopefully my dad won't notice its that much. Well its not my dad Im worried about telling. Its my Mum. Boy will she be angry if she finds out its over even £200!

Typical internet missunderstanding, it is so hard to convey emotion and facial expressions over the internet. No harm no foul right I totally agree, payment in 24 hours is a bit ridiculous, I was just saying that may have been his terms. Personally I wouldn't contact the seller until probably 5 business days after I sent the invoice.. There you go, perfect reason to set up your oen payment options. Do you have a job? Sounds like your Dad is a pretty nice guy to do this for you, but as you said, he's busy.

I don't like using text language and "lolz". So, My dad is a nice guy for doing it, Because I wouldn't be able to do it any other way.
August 27, 200915 yr What I do is ask my mom to use the paypal account to pay for my order. This way I can pay on time and my mom or dad can be left alone. Just an idea though
