Should also note the slim will be a worldwide release the week starting 1.9.09.

I don't have the link but the PS3 price drop for Aussies is set to be $499, before people whinge, remember our retarded government puts a tax on consoles.

Me too! I still wonder if Sony is selling their PS3's at a loss.

They won't be with all the extra stuff from their store, and people's internet connection payments since 2006!

I'm interested in firmware 3.00, but not much else atm. I might get MW2 when it comes out (massively priced)

The money you pay to your ISP (internet service provider) goes to PSN because that's where you used your connection.

I saw the vid for firmware 3.00, and the new general status bar in the top right of the screen looks really useful.

I also like the fact that you'll be able to use new avatars AND buy avatars which your friends don't have.

Either way, all I was trying to say is that PS3 have made money elsewhere from just selling the consoles.

The game disks, hardware, additional content etc. should all have profit margins for Sony.

Not even close, the PS3 was loosing 40bucks american for every single console sold.

But you don't have to pay for PSN other than your current internet connection, right?

Right its sony not ms, psn access is free, so is gaming, and themes (unless your American), and game clips, and demos, and game patches, and firmware, and home, life, and vidzone.

All you pay is your isp, I'm downloading wet and mini ninja demos now for free, all though you can only download something 5 times.

He had to fix the leaking coolant pipe so the engine didn't burst into flames.
