Big Blue Bastards just sealed up the round in their division. Big win for us!

Let me then use this thread to congratulate you on that victory. Bluecoats had the entries with the best sense of humor anyway, which casts doubt as to whether the redcoats are really British, cause they're famous for their good sense of humor (just kidding, there were some pretty hilarious redcoat entries as well). :shark:

WooHoo! :pir_laugh2: The Blue Bastards live to fight another day!

Yeah, 4 of the 7 judges have voted, and ALL have voted for us thus far.

P.S. If we sweep this, that will be really funny, but I think at least one will go red.

Well I am a Redcoat supporter and I must say, The Blues have won the Tournament.

No Draws, So if the Bluecoats have won 2 of the things already. Is there really going to be a Round 2? I meen, Come on judges, The Redcoats made some brilliant MOCs, Not being bias, But I believe my MOCs were pretty damn funny and I spent ages making them. Do you not agree Martin?

No votes for em...I believe theres some Bribing going on.

Anywho, after the tournament the HMS Unicorn shall hunt down the Obliterate the Bluecoat Bastards. :pir-skull:

I think there were some really great redcoat MOCs. Thats exactly why I said I don't forsee us sweeping you. I think the one lacking features the redcoats had was in the vast majority of MOCs they didnt have real bluecoats to use. Most of the time, it was something homemade, or otherwise created. Not that I mind custom mini-fig-ing, but it would have been nice to see people who VOLUNTEERED to be in the tournament actually have the raw materials to perform.

I believe that the other downfall of the redcoats was that since the blue coats are an older faction, their fans are older; thus more expierenced and with more resources. I think that there is an age difference between the two factions and this might have been in the blue coats favor. I'm not accusing anyone of anything, I'm just stating the facts and why they are that way. When I first started, I was buying blue coats, so they have remained my favorite, and the reason why I am with that faction, you know? I think there were good showings all the way around. I also think that you really came out and performed well Joey. Your picture quality is much better than mine, and your building skill shows.

Thanks Martin!

I agree with the Bluecoats have more mature members. I mean, Two or three of our members were Vassals who thought "Heck, Ill join for the fun of it", Not realising they would actually have to do anything. And many of our team had absents because after all this is a Summer Holiday, So many may have holidays, day outs e.t.c.

So hopefully If a Red Team gets into round 2, It will include supplying MOCers.

What happens if 3 (or 4) bluecoat and 1 (or 0) redcoat teams make it to round 2?

Thats why I was stating you had pratically Won. Because a Round 2 would not work.

And although Im Red, I don't want to be given a Victory, Like the Admins saying, Ok, Judges just vote for Redcoats now so it will be even. I want to earn the Victory.

They didn't really think about Land slide votes did they? :pir_laugh2:

Side-note: I wasn't on any team. Maybe we could have blackcoats versus bluecoats ( :pir-devil: ) or randomly assign color (blue/red) to the winning teams (although I fear that would encounter some opposition :pir-grin: ).

That's one of the things you find out along the way and that can be improved upon once another tournament is organized.

BLUE MOCS SHALL BEAT ALL

I think this is considered 'spam' according to Eurobricks rules.

Yeah, it looks like I will be out of business after round 1. I feel sorry, I had lots of fun and I'm not out of ideas yet....

I thought that there would be MVPs selected and stuff like that. Maybe next time we do one and one competetion and it goes on from there?

OR

Maybe we do a sig-fig abuse tournament? Like, Joey vs myself, and we see what we can do to each other.

Its the first tournament, so there were going to be some bumps. But I did recieve several message from red coat "friends" of mine, who were somewhat upset about the uneven talent on the teams.

This was a fun tournament, I enjoyed it.

We just need to cut out the spam, arguments, and fact based discussions. Without all of that stuff, there were some great antics from both sides.

Those of you that signed up and participated, thank you.

WOW...That's a serious but kicking. My congratulations to the victorious Bluecoat Teams and the members of my own winning Redcoat Team! Thank you to all who participated thus far!

We do however have the makings for a second round (sudden death) since one Redcoat team made it through. The way it would work is the Bluecoats would have to nominate which one of their three winning teams would represent them in round two and then they would face the remaining Redcoat team. We could agree to make the teams larger to bring back a few of the more dedicated players from lossing teams or we could stick with the original team members of four (we probably will have to make a personel change or two to accomidate absences). If we embarck on the second round I think we should change the rules just slightly to give each team 10 days to post there two creations each per member rather than have assigned days (that seemed to be the source of a lot of confussion and increased difficulties with specific absences). This howver could lead to future rounds if the redcoats won as they'd have to face on of the two remaining winning Bluecoats teams ...and so on until eaither all the Bluecoats or the last redcoat team is eliminated....

Or if people would prefer we could declare the tournament over and negotiate a cesation of hostilities. In that event we can open up a thread so the full membership can vote on one MVP from each side.

What's the plreasure of the participants and judges?

Ah so you want a truce now ey?

We should have a final round, or two. :pir-skull:

Maybe one of the blue teams would be willing to fight for the reds this coming round, so we'll have 2 winning teams after, who then if different sides can fight one final round. Perhaps you should try and bribe somebody. :pir_laugh2:

I also think 1 entry per team member is enough for the coming round(s), giving it 8 days per round.

Just my 2 cents. :pir-wink:

That sounds good to me. I am game to keep going.

Or we could pile everyone willing to play into just one team on each side and have a won entry per player final show down - eight days (doesn't matter if the teams are of equal size) More glory for the outnumbered team should they win!

That is a really cool idea! I vote for that one. It would be a bit difficult to judge, but if people could keep the thread spam free, I think it could be done!
