You mean NO BRAKES?

I thought we saved Brakes. It was Bulldog who fell into the ravine.

Oh brother! :hmpf: Next he'll be having converstaions with talking mystery dogs.

Hmmm, no brakes could cause problems, especially since we'd need all the switches pointing the right way first, and the there is the difficulty of hooking up the EE carriages to this engine... I ain't leaving my precious D&D stuff in this town!

But at least we're getting somewhere, right? With positive thinking and a good mindset, we can overcome these problems. :sweet:

I would like to clarify the situation with our engineers; are there no braks at all, meaning the train can never be stopped, or are there some minimal use of them? Also, is it possible to cut the engines so that the train rolls to a halt?

We just need to drive really really slow.

Now what about the safe in the Town Hall (or was it prison)? Shouldn't the technologically-challenged of us go and see if we can pry it open?

Damn, this is just like a movie I saw where a bus couldn't go below 50mph or it'd blow up...

I didn't understand it until I'd seen the movie Speed. :sadnew:

*Lightbulb above head*

I can has idea?!

How about we first set all the switches and thingy-ma-jiggys in the right formation, then we start up the Croc. It races along, without having to worry about switches, and then when we're on the train we can come up with a plan of getting off?

I don't think we're going to all fit in the small cab of the engine... :look:

I forgot to add; we should hook up the EE carriages first

Sit on my lap?

Sit on my lap?

But I thought you weren't supposed to sit on Uncle's lap... :look:

GREAT! JUST GREAT! Now we have no way out. I really am going to die here. A moving train is better than a stagnant train so lets still get this baby working and try to get out of here.

You want to go first?

Well... you are greasy...?

That's a good question.

Based on my experience with "run-away trains", we'll probably be only able to start this train once (if that). Once we get it started, it will accelerate to a normal speed and speed up going down any hill.

We'll have limited brake function, but we should be able to slow things down to a reasonable speed. What we can't do is stop the train, with fear that we won't be able to start 'er up again. We can cut the fuel line to stop it once we make it to our destination.

We just need to drive really really slow.

That's where I come in.(begins doing a little "Who's Yo Daddy" dance)

Definately! That's thinking positively. I think we may need to move the fuel tanker first. Any sight of the Tractor Team?

Does the Johnson Rod have anything to do with the brake system? If not, why don't we replace the Croc's brakes with the Emerald's?

Won't work - the Croc has the series HC-514 diesel mechanism, something not found on steam locomotives.

I've about got this engine primed and ready? Any sight of that fuel tanker?

Hey look! :sweet: It's the others. I can see them pulling the fuel tanker with Jeb's tractor.

End Chapter 14A
