This belongs in the Culture and Multimedia section.

However, I mine as well comment on it while I am here. I think everyone agreed that after the great success of Empire: Total War and the time period and approach they used, Napoleon was only a matter of time. What I did not expect however was that the next full game in the series would be Napoleon. I figured they would make it an expansion on Empire. I am also surprised that they have already released a few screenshots and a video when the game won't be released for a year and a half. Still, it looks really cool. Hopefully by that time my computer will be upgraded sufficiently seeing how I can barely run Empire as it is.

No it doesn't.

Look at the topics below. Empire: Total War is there.

Anywho, I like the look of it. Only problem is Empire: Total War is hard to run on my PC with my graphics card (I need to update) so the models don't show up well from far away. So this game is gonna be even harder to play! :pir_laugh2:

These first pics make it seem like Napoleon didn't do much to distinguish himself from previous Total War games. Although I'm sure they added more content. Too soon for this game in my opinion, even just to announce it.

It's a lot of fun, I must say! There are a lot of interesting things happening in there that provides for a very good playing experience! I'd recommend it :pir-classic:

It's been quite brilliant so far, I've been all the French campaigns and battles besides Waterloo, which is tricky. I can't wait to start doing the British, Austrian, Prussian, and Russian campaigns.

If anyone's interested, the N:TW demo came out a couple of weeks ago. I've just got around to playing it now. There's only a land tutorial and one historical land battle (no naval battles unfortunately), so there isn't much to do. The historical battle (The Battle of Ligny) is very fun though, the map is nice and spread out, but is still packed with plenty of details.

The demo can be downloaded here.

There is an online multi-player component with Napoleon Total War, where you can play battles against a human opponent or entire campaigns.
