KimT Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 My great grandma has died. I will need to go to Copenhagen. I will be back tommorow. Yeah right - that's a far way to go when you live in Russia. Quote
Sisco Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 School starts back this Thursday for me, so I won't be on as much. Quote
ThatGuyWithTheBricks Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I'm back! I have to say, the Lego store in NYC was pretty disappointing. Yeah right - that's a far way to go when you live in Russia. Seems like there have been a lot of Russian kids pretending to be something else these days. Quote
ThatGuyWithTheBricks Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I'm sad to say that I'm leaving today for a week, and I will have no internet! Quote
ThatGuyWithTheBricks Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 I'm back!!!!(again)!!!! And I do have some MOCs that are almost done. Quote
brickme Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Well I'm not sure if I will be back or not. I am hovering over the line between Dark Ages and staying. I will try my hardest to stay but with school coming up shortly I'm not quite sure yet. I recently bought my xbox and I really haven't been with the lego for a while so it is a rather difficult mental struggle right now. Any encouragement is helpful. Quote
Eskallon Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Well I'm not sure if I will be back or not. I am feeling kinda the same. Last year my grades and exam results went bang and I was ignoring homework and revision which meant that the teachers all knew I could do well but also knew I just wasn't bothering. By my age I know that Lego is a big part of my life which I don't want to forget, it makes me happy when I am upset or just bored... So this year I am changing, now I am going to do my best to stop myself from avoiding revision and homework, then when done I will be exercising more. Then finally more preparation for the next day so I am not scrambling every morning to get out the door. Then finally when done this I will give Lego some time and also give myself some more time for other stuff. So overall I will be more time-coordinated and will be able to do better with school life. Any comments on my plan? ------------------------------------------- Oh Brickme my advice to you is too just choose a couple of sets and make them last, create an idea in your head of how you want to allocate your time and try to stick with it. Make sure that you use your Lego and try and appreciate how much you already have by creating things with only your current collection. This will keep you occupied without spending a fortune on new sets. Quote

I've given up on every theme except Harry Potter, so I suggests just sticking with on theme. Quote
brickme Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I snip long post Sounds like a good plan! It's not so much a money thing. It's a lot more complicated. Right now I pick up a brick and I just get discouraged. I guess eventually (a month or so) I'll build more but for now.... Quote
General Redwater Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 If anyone cares: I haven't been on lately, and things where I live have gotten quite busy these days. I will try my best to post, but for now, I might only be able to log on for five minutes at a time. I will try my best to get online though. - Redwater Quote
JCC1004 Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 My life has been getting very busy lately and has been for awhile. I haven't made as many post as I would like to and seem to just be browsing more often than not. This is not a good bye or announcing that I am descending into a dark age. It is simply me wanting to let you know I may not be seen around too often. I will try to make post as often as I can as I do not want to go into a dark age. I hope to be around for years to come. Best regards, JCC Quote
Big Cam Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Some of you on the board may know me. I am going to befairly absent for a good five weeks. Work is getting extremely busy and every quarter we get swamped with work. September is the busiest of them all. Also the fact that I got Eurobricks blocked at my work as "web chat" makes it a little harder to accumulate the mass post amounts your used to seeing from me. I'll leave that to lightingtiger who has managed to post more than I even did. I'll definetaly be lurking from time to time, but I wont be good for much over the next 5 weeks, and Even then, the ridiculous poster your used to is gone. Quote

Etzel Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 (edited) Pretty long 2-month vacation eh? Good for you my friend. Enjoy your LEGO-free and Internet-free summer! Well, that period was not only vacation but also work (although a very nice work). But now I'm back with a lot of LEGO-energy! Unfortunately I can't begin MOCing straight away since I have a massive amount of bricks to sort first. Almost all the sets I bought at the EB Event in Billund in April are still unpacked plus that I have a lot of MOCs that needs to be dismantled too. But it feels good to be back and starting to catch up with the latest news and gossip in the LEGO world. Edit: Also, for how long am I going to be named PrEtzel? I thought it just was a temporarily change due to the EB Event, but now it seems to have stuck permanently. I guess I could get used to it but it's a little confusing sometimes Edited August 30, 2010 by PrEtzel Quote

I'm claiming myself back :) I don't think EB's post count will suffer too much from my return. Except maybe this weekend, as I have nothing but time, and alot to catch up on. Quote
MetroiD Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Good to see you're back around these parts, Cam. EB wouldn't be quite the same without the official National Geographic Muppet Fauna narrator Quote
General Redwater Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 I'm sorry I've been gone, and inactive so long. Many things made it almost impossible to go on for a long period of time, my cat died, a relative was in a car accident, and sadly passed, my job has been very hard, and I've been getting ready for college. Most of my free time went to moderating Brickhope, I feel it's my duty to get on there at least a a hlf hour a day. But, I think I can safely say I'm back. I missed you all. - Redwatrer Quote

Big Cam Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 OMG, Shadows you kill me. I have now been called a Dork and a nerd, I think that makes me the smartest member on EB. Too funny Quote
dr_spock Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Welcome back. It appears to be dangerous to go away. New title on returns. Quote
