Alex the Great Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Hello! I've been unactive since August or so, since I've really not had much access to a computer. I hope to be more active on EB now, so much I have missed in the LEGO world! Good to be back. Quote
Eskallon Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Im leaving for Barcelona, going with my mates. See you on Tuesday unless I post a bit while gone. Will try to stay active in the mafia though. Eskallon Quote
JCC1004 Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 I am in a darkage now, due to the fact there aren't any sets, figures, etc. I want until the fall Star Wars sets. There is nothing I want on Bricklink either. I am hoping this won't be permanent and I can regain my interest in the brick one Fall comes around. I have completely reverted to my other hobby. Star Wars action figures. Those things got me into Star Wars! Quote

Thats the great thing about LEGO and Eurobricks, you can constantly be involved by comment and browsing the forum, as well as building MOC's from your existing sets. I have gone months without buying any LEGO but I don't see myself ever hitting a dark age again. Just because you don't want to buy any of the current sets, doesn't mean you can't get excited about them. Shoot, I think if I could I'd buy every set that comes out, but I'm veering off topic. Quote

I just find it hard to be excited about something for over six months. I'm also not much of a MOCer either. Anyway I do like reverting back to Action Figures for awhile. It's a nice little break from the brick. I don't doubt that I will return but a break never hurt and spending time on something else doesn't hurt. It's kinda nice to bring back my figure memories by learning all the terms again such as ROTS, TAC, etc. I still remember the LEGO ones fine too. Oh well. I'm just more of a general Star Wars fan than LEGO fan. I still buy plenty other LEGO things but SW is my main focus. I don't really see how because we are talking about dark ages and I did announce I was leaving for awhile. Oh well, moving on... Quote
Vindicare Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Wow JCC1004, I commend you on sticking to one theme, that's hard just 99% of us to do... Why is that though? Are you doing so because funds, in which I completely understand. But there are so many great sets, and even just god ones you're missing out now. Obviously, you know what's out there, and you gotta do what you gotta do. Quote
CMP Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 But aren't the fall Star Wars sets just now being spotted? Hope to see you back soon, JC. Quote

Are you doing so because funds, in which I completely understand. But there are so many great sets, and even just god ones you're missing out now. Obviously, you know what's out there, and you gotta do what you gotta do. I do get sets from other themes too. Just not many though. Most were Indiana Jones and Batman before they died out. Also had a Castle phase and Collectible Mini-Figures. I didn't mean to lead on that I only stick to Star Wars. Star Wars is just what got me into LEGO and my main LEGO Focus is Star Wars. Also I don't think it is appropriate to ask about people's finical issues. Anyway that is not why for me, Pie hit it on the head. Star Wars sets are the main thing I collect. I'm Anti PT and CW unless the figures are really nice or the set looks nice. I've managed to get pretty much everything I want through out the years. When new OT was slow I'd spend my money on older sets. My interest in LEGO dies down if there isn't anything I like in Star Wars. But aren't the fall Star Wars sets just now being spotted? Hope to see you back soon, JC. Wait, what!? Shouldn't be too long. I'm really looking forward to that Falcon though. Quote
Vindicare Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 My apologies. I don't mean to be intrusive or anything, plenty of people, myself included are in hard times. Again, I'm sorry. Quote
RoryoCox Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Okay, I am back after a break off the site. I concentrated on some other things for a while but I am now back to contribute more. Quote
HumanPackMule Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Well after a long hiatus, I have finally decided to come back to the forums after lurking a few weeks on the site, hesitant on whether or not to return. Since my leave, I have quit WoW, graduated high school, gotten a nice job, taken up Gunpla as another hobby to occupy my time and shelf space, and have signed up for college which begins on the seventeenth of this month. But many of you may be asking: who am I? My old forum name was Arthas. Due to my witting of WoW, I found it appropriate to change my screen name to something more suitable. I now use my Xbox live Gamertag as my forum name. And the only other thing I can say is this: I look forward to entering into the fold again. Quote

JCC1004 Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Well I'm doubting if I'll ever fully return to this hobby. I have zero interest in anything LEGO unless it's Star Wars. Everything else I like is discontinued. Plus my Hasbro action figure collecting is invading my hobbies and I'd rather buy those over random LEGO sets. Sorry guys, but I'm just going back to my original hobby, Star Wars. Quote
Joey Lock Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 I'm back! I've recently lost interest in Eurobricks and 'foruming' due to my way of life, I had my A Levels a few months back and have had personal things to do recently, so I never got back into posting. I have two major Lego projects I wish to work on, but money is of object, meaning, these projects won't be coming anytime soon because of more important things to use the money on, eg SS Officers uniform for re-enacting + photography course, The photography itself, de-activated or replica weapons to add to my collection, gifts for my girlfriend, clothes etc Also, most projects I work on at this time in my life end up recycled into new MOC's cause of the room and expense to finish it, so these will wait till later. I think I'll be back to nosing around the place but most posts I see are of new sets I'm not interested in or could afford judging by how steep Lego prices are now, JCC1004 has a point, Everything I liked is discontinued. Now if they make TinTin Lego for the upcoming movie, I'm in for that. If not, meh. I want war lego, battles. Not very expensive custom lego pieces that some customisers say takes them a long time therefore the steep price is there, when really, Amazing Armoury, for what you get, isn't worth the price. £4 for a cap that is the same as the new $1 brickforge one. Anyway, enough of my ranting. I'm back and kicking. Quote
brickmack Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I'm not really "Leaving" but I am taking a bit of a break from EB for a while. Going on a trip right now that will take about 2 weeks, then I have school after that (Which might take a lot of time up, I'm not sure yet). So for the next at least 3 weeks, possibly much more, I will be doing only a fraction of the posting and stuff I normally do. Also I won't be able to make ANY new things for at least the next 2-3 weeks because I couldn't bring any LEGO on the trip, but I should still be able to MOC at least when school starts again. Quote
Captain Becker Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 My kindom has fallen, and my once so great Redcoat army has fled. I have been forced to take down every Lego set and put them in bags and to storage. And i must say, the room looks very empty whit out my Legos, and i dont even regognize it anymore. Im moving to another city due my studies, and wont be able to be as active here on Eurobricks anymore, but i still be hanging around here. Im also fearing at i cant buy Legos next 3 years wich breaks my heart into many Lego pieces i could say. But i shall promise, that my army will be re-united once more, and once so great kindom shall rise and be glorious once more as it was before. I will be missing you guys. Captain Becker Quote
Flare Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Hey everyone, I'm back! I've had a few-month absence from EB, mostly because I was too busy and EB is addicting but I'm back to be an active member. Quote
airsoftg36c Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 (edited) Airsoft and RPGs are calling me away... I'll still be buying CMFs, and the occasional REALLY COOL $5 set, but won't be collecting Legos, which(Sadly) means I won't be hanging out here very much anymore Edited August 19, 2011 by airsoftg36c Quote

Brainbox Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 ...And that's me back again! Hopefully this return will be more permanent than the last one. But, you know, being at university without my Lego for half the year and battling bouts of depression tend to make me less active here than I'd like to be, which is a shame. Quote

I've been dealing with it for a few years myself. The only thing(family excluded) that's keeping me sane and somewhat happy is Lego and this place. I just try to concentrate my free time on building, reading posts and looking at Lego online to keep my mind of all the other sh!t. Edited August 24, 2011 by Legocrazy81 Quote

Stauder Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 It's been a long year... But I think the dark age I've been stuck in, is starting to pass. Infact, tomorrow I'm going to go grab a set from the nearest toy shop. Staudie Quote
