Hello everybody! :classic:

Over the last weeks I have been working on a bigger MOC which I finished yesterday. Here you are:

Visit the magic show in the vaudeville!

Wow, really good work Klaus-Dieter! :oh::thumbup:

It's a very big MOC and really well done. I really like how you have managed to include so much details but still keep the simple style of classic town. Truly impressive!

The auditorium is just lovely and I especially like the cloakroom and stage direction.

The outside is a little boring and maybe it could be improved with a big brick built sign or a mosaic on the wall. But on the other hand it's quite realistic with the big plain walls, surprisingly that's how many theatres look like on the outside despite their often much more interesting inside.

Once again, great work!

impressive

looking at the outside, I would have never imagined that you could put all those details inside the building it is just magic.

The design is well thought of. This would look great in every city.

Wow, I love those detailed and well organised buildings.

Awesome design.

Where is the audience? :classic:

Thanks, Milan! :classic:

Like (nearly) always I do not add minifigs to my regular MOCs since firstly many, many minifigs would be needed to make it looking good and realistic and since secondly when there are minifigs placed they conceal the view on other details.

Thanks, Etzel! :classic:

Yes, I wanted to include as much different for a vaudeville important rooms as possible. Nice to hear that you like it. :classic:

I firstly wanted to search for some poster of a movie or show in the internet, print it and then cleave it to the wall - but I must admit that I forgot it. Nevertheless you're right: today's buildings are often built in a very scant style - so this would fit here, too.

I totally agree with you: TLG made a great start with including the brilliant cinema in the awesome 10188 Town Plan - but a regular theater is still needed (even if it of course was only small)!

Really nice MOC, specially because of all the interior details

Thanks, BlueBard! :classic:

I wanted to include as much interior as possible since I really dislike spartanic interior (like it's regrettably the case in some official sets - especially of City sets in the 70s-90s). Nice to hear that you like it. :classic:

But in my opinion, cinema will be better, than magic show :sceptic:

Excuse me? Magic is the greatest thing in life (apart from Legos! )

Excellent MOC, Klaus. I love of the details like the mirrors in the cloak room and the trapdoor that the magician enters in.

Good work!

A lot of LEGO City MOCs tend to go for extravagant, quaint, or classical external designs, which are fantastic but not particularly realistic. I mean, in my town there are no Roman columns, Gothic arches, thatched roofs, or anything of that sort... just big, largely plain, square buildings, built from concrete or bricks as cheaply as possible. I think you've captured that brilliantly (if yellowly... is that a word? Tis now) with this set, and I'd actually be interested to see somebody build an entire town in a more realistic style like this. Urban decay in LEGO form!

As for the innards... just wow.
