Hound Knight Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 'Ello everyone! 'Ere're the latest recruits in my colonial army: A close up of their uniforms: Back view: Frontier scouts: General Washington: Your's truly!: Thanks for looking! Quote
Joey Lock Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 (edited) Very Nice! Where did you get George Washingtons head from? You should try make a Davy Crockett 'at! It will give me something to shoot at. I know its supposed to be Historically accurate, but I thought you would prefer to be the leader of the army, or American Navy? Im still sad about your desire for Betrayal Now I shall have to destroy you...And your army of 9 men. Edited August 20, 2009 by Joey Lock Quote

I have made a Davy Crockett hat, I just thought that the tricorns perhaps looked better on these guys? Nobody starts out as the leader remember! The fewer there are, the harder they are to catch! Also, we fight like Indians, and shoot at your bright red coats from behind trees. Quote
Paul cantu Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 (edited) Those decals are out of this world. The U.S. print is great and those frontier scouts are exceptional. I would like to see some of the frontier scouts without the indian pants and compare them. It's all about the Continental Army! Edited August 21, 2009 by Paul cantu Quote
Sir Wellington Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Oh my lord, this is fantastic! You've really outdone yourself Hound Knight! :D What pieces did you use for the frontiersmen? Quote
JeffD984 Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Wow, these are truly great! I can't get over how awesome they look! Good job Quote
Rick Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Great job! Those are amazingly well-designed decals, really Lego-esque. (Although the blue on the decals doesn't match the dark-blue on the torsos exactly, or am I nitpicking here?) Quote
michaelozzie Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Nice work again Hound Knight. The Details on the Decals are spot on. These guys look ready to fight in a revolution Quote
Edgehead Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 WOW! these are some of the best custom torso ive seen, awesome work. can i ask what you print them on / use to stick them on the minifigs Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Great decals! I like the frontier scouts a lot, since they are quite important and I haven't seen them on this forum before. And it's a pity there is no real lego wig yet because that's the way you see him on most pictures. But this is a good alternative. nice job Quote
Etzel Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Very nice, Hound Knight! The decals are awesome, I especially like the frontier scout's. I would love to see a MOC with these guys Quote

If you do theres a free MOD for Half-Life called Battlegrounds, Its about the War of Independence, Theres a server called the 51st that do Line Battles (Line up, Fire, Reload) and it is sooo fun. You shoud buy Half-Life 2 and download the MOD. The Frontiersman in that game were a bright white shirt, which you can easily see through the trees, so It is usually British Victories! Quote

Sir Wellington Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 The torso and leg pieces. The frontiersmen remind me of the Long Rifle Men in the Empire: Total War american army! Quote

Lego_Warlord_8 Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 (edited) Masterfully done, Hound knight! I really like the frontiersmen. The only thing I don't really like is how the colonials' decals look a little cluttered. Overall, great work. ~LW 8~ Edited August 23, 2009 by Lego_Warlord_8 Quote
Tom Bricks Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Great job creating one of my favorite periods in American History. If these figures where used in sets I would buy them in a second. Quote
