Erdbeereis Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Vig. 89c The Soldiers love to hang around this area of the town, where the water is clear and also where they can taunt their prisoners. Flickr Page. Thanks! Quote
Rick Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Water looks great! The buildings look edible but contain some nice architectural designs... Quote
Joey Lock Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Its quite a nice technique. But I think its more suited to choppy high seas. Rather than shore port towns. Id like to see a small ship sailing on a 32x32 Blue Baseplate. Quote
saberwing Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 the water looks really good. The buildings are pretty amazing as well. Quote
Paul cantu Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 This is nice! I really like the water and some of the dtails on the buildings are great. I like the use of the classic colors but the buildings look a bit too cartoonish. Quote

Fluyt Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 (edited) The buildings look edible My thoughts exactly, looks a bit like gingerbread houses . But that water sure does look amazing, even better than snot variations on water (this works especially better for rough seas), only 1024 pieces to cover a 32x32 plate would be a tad expensive, despite it being a fairly cheap part. Big Cam Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Very nicely done, that would actually be a sweet set, all those minifigs. Quote
Hound Knight Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Great technique, it looks very realistic! Quote
Edgehead Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Great technique on the water, looks so realistic Yeah the colours remind me of Rasberry Cake: I was gona say it reminds me of a gingerbread house, but this is just too funny Joey Quote
zouave Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Very nice job on your harbor. Those curved car pieces make nice arches. Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Great work Erdy! The use of cheese slopes is amazing. Onto the frontpage in the very near future! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 The water looks great Erdy! I love it. The fortress itself is also very nice, it's a quite large cell for 1 prisoner. I'd almost say he has a comfortable life in there! Nice job! Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 nice job on the water, looks very real. the lanterns are also a nice detail. good luck on the rest of your projects Quote
frontbeast Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 the water is great, cool idea......id love a pice of that cake right now Quote
I Scream Clone Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 A really nice creation. The water draws you in and then the details take over, well done on this beauty. Quote
Zorro Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Magnifico ! Your water technique is outstanding and the little harbor itself looks good as well, with the traditional rat in the prison ! I also love how you've done the brown walking way, it proves that simplicity is an art! Please DO continue building like this, my dearest Pirate Regulator ! Quote
martinsuper Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Come on now Joey, everything reminds you of raspberry cake! I think this looks amazing. To me it doesnt look like rough water, but rather wind blowing over water in a harbor. I really like that. -Super Quote
Teddy Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 ********off topic*************** Come on now Joey, everything reminds you of raspberry cake! ... now I'm hungry for cake.... ***************************** I like the water texture a lot. Quote
RocketClone Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Those houses look like something Hansel and Gretel would eat . Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I think the water looks great. It is exactely like what you see when the Bay is choppy. I was wondering what it would look like with some of the emerald greens wedges mixed in? That has to be the prettiest prison I have ever seen. I hope the pirate doesn't get teased too much for being imprisioned in something so adorable Quote
soman Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Great job! I would of never came up with the water idea. Quote
