Big Cam Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Me too. I even keep the polybags from sets! I just keep any damaged pieces that I have. I'll probably use them for things like fillers (as Siegfried said) in the future. OK, Now that's hardcore Quote
Emperor Claudius Rome Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 It depends... If I can't use it, garbage. If I can use it (Like my "Legionarii" silver castle helmet ) I keep it. Quote
ziljin Posted August 25, 2009 Author Posted August 25, 2009 Me too. I even keep the polybags from sets! I have all my lego bags, and gundam model kit bags, and even kept the air filler bags from packages. Using them to store lego. But I ran out of those plastic zippy things to tie the bags. Quote
muffinman42 Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 So far it's only been 71137a Vehicle, Exhaust Pipe. i wondered where i got my trans clear one of those! Quote
ILikePi Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 OK, Now that's hardcoreWell, they don't take much space since I just keep them in each box that they came in. And I only have been buying LEGO sets since 2006-2007, so my collection is still pretty small (only around a few hundred USD). Quote

And I only have been buying LEGO sets since 2006-2007, so my collection is still pretty small (only around a few hundred USD). I spent a few hundred USD restarting my Lego Collection in the past month. I should stop buying sets. But Castle sets will be OOP soon, which makes me want to buy more of the sets while I still can. Well I have quite a bit of crownies and trolls so I should be satisfied for now. The best I can do is just think to myself that newer sets will come, so I don't want to spend all my money on just Castle sets. Quote
Siegfried Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Me too. I even keep the polybags from sets! I used to do that to. But then my "just a few" LEGO sets became more, so to save room I put boxes in boxes and I compressed the bags in the spaces. This plan was short lived as it got really messy so the bags went... then I was forced to flatten the boxes... Quote
CP5670 Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 I keep all such parts in a separate box and don't generally use them. I don't discard them altogether because I do occasionally find something useful in there, and I figure I can give them to someone eventually. I'm super picky about part quality and in some cases, a "damaged" piece to me would be a "very good condition" piece to many other people. OK, Now that's hardcore I do that too, but they just stay in the boxes they came in, which I also keep. Quote
