KDog Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 (edited) OMG, do those kick megablocks! You've gotta do a Valkyrie in Jetfire colors now. :-D Edited August 23, 2009 by KDog Quote
Nich Artri Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Am I right in assuming these transform as well? ... You are awesome sir! Lovin' that Valkyrie! I fly with that paint scheme on Robotech:Battlecry. Quote
Holy Diver Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Awesome. Now if only you could make a Battlepod or a Shocktooper... Quote
Fumoffu Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 These are amazings ... especially when you see that they can go into all three modes!!! Wow! Do you have plans for more Macross/Robotech MOCs? Quote
KimT Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 These actually....transforms...or is it polymorphs...from mech to fighter? Stunning work Baron Sat I am....speechless.... Thanks for sharing. Quote
JimBee Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Haw! These are amazing! I would have never guessed that the modes could change into a different mode so seamlessly. I like the white one a little better, but both are great! I think I had the same reaction as KimT, it took me ten minutes just to stop looking at the MOCs for a few seconds and post my compliments. salty tbone Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Wonderful likeness. Like everyone else, I'm floored that you managed to keep the scale and shape, yet still transform! Quote
Ralph_S Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Impressive. I used to be a big fan of robotech and used to have my own LEGO versions of these years ago. The Alpha-fighter looks a bit chubby, but that's probably unavoidable. I'm sure the animators fiddled around with the proportions to make them look sleek as jets but bulky in battroid mode. All in all very impressive. Cheers, Ralph Quote
BaronSat Posted August 24, 2009 Author Posted August 24, 2009 Thanks for your nice comments guys. Yes, these models transform from robots to gerwalk to fighters and believe me it has been pretty (and I say pretty because I'm polite but I mean F...ng) difficult to make. And keeping good proportions isn't easy either, sometimes Lego parts just seems too big. But the good part is to post photos and get compliments No other Macross projects for now but if that change I will of course post them here. Quote
the Inventor Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Awesome work . I really like your Valkyrie, I can imagine how hard it would be to make these models actual transform, but the end result is really great. the Inventor Quote
I Scream Clone Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 On their own they are great creations, but throw in all the owrk it would have taken to make them transform and you have some amazing MOC's Well and truly up to your usual high standards. Quote
Jipay Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Amazing work. Boy those bring back memories. Why didn't you keep the orange / grey theme from the original anime ? Quote
Legoking Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Wow, all I have to say is that therse are some of the best looking transforming lego robots I have ever seen! I like how the Veritech Alpha "Shadow Fighter" can be in 3 different modes. That is really cool! Good Job! LegoKing Quote
Tohst Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Those look amazing. They've been on my list of things to attempt for a while. And I still might but it would be hard not to steal...er, borrow, a couple things you did so well. One question about the Alpha. One of the biggest issues with any toy of it is the legs which are completely oversized in Battloid mode and then really distroy the look of the jet. As such, many toys do that expanding leg thing where part of the leg slides into another part. Did you do that here? Its something I've wondered how to do effectively in Lego for a while because its got to be hard to have tension stops like the manufactured toys? I can't really tell from the pictures but I'm thinking you might've given that it looks good in all the modes. Thanks, Tohst Quote

In fact I don't remember these colors but I'm not an expert on Macross/Robotech/Mospeada, I just love the mechas If you have a link to a photo or website that'll be interesting. Thanks, Tohst I first tried to have expanding legs and arms as they are found on toys but I gave up because it was not strong enough and reliable. The legs just can bend in diffent ways so all the modes are possible. Quote
