Destroydacre Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Down here in the Southern US I have noticed that the impulse hve disappeared from Target too. They probably just morphed into Indy or SW. :pir-skull: Judging from the responses in this thread, this appears to be what's happening everywhere. The local Wal-Marts and Target had the impulses and cannon battles through June. Now they are gone and there's no spot for them on the shelves. The cheapest set in either store is Loot Island and they all still have the BB and Soldier's Fort as well. I last made it to a TRU in early July and they still had the impulses however expensive they may be. I haven't been back since though, so who knows if they are still carrying those. Quote
Edgehead Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 i went down to target again to day as well as a few other stores and it would seem that here in oz at least power miners seems to be the in thing as far as lego sets go right now. all the stores stock the gimmicky stuff like star wars, indiana jones and bionicle as well as the classic town/city lines. maybe the other lines; pirates, castle, power miners, space police, etc work on some sort of rotational system. Joeyfalcone Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 hmmm i might have to make a trip to Sydney then, if there exclusive to target you would think target would at least try to keep them stocked..oh well...it seems to me the stores here have everything but pirates and castle. Quote
David Thomsen Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 They're all still easily available in Wellington, although for some reason the two impulse sets were never released here. I got mine from S@H with some other orders. Of course, everyone who wants to earn higher wages to buy expensive things like Lego has moved to Australia, so it's not surprising that you'd have sold out of Pirates and we'd still have them... Governor Mister Phes Posted August 25, 2009 Governor Posted August 25, 2009 so what about my fellow Aussies are you having this problem as well in your town/city? Yep! The Pirate sets seem to be sold out within 48 hours and I don't usually get to the stores quick enough. Quote
Siegfried Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 The still haven't restocked them in my local Target. (Glenorchy, Tasmania) I'm not expecting any restocks for a few months. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted August 25, 2009 Governor Posted August 25, 2009 How often do they restock? I called them a couple of weeks back and they had no idea when they were getting more stock. Quote

I suspect that they aren't going to re-stock until November. They have brought in more LEGO, just no pirates. There's no shelf room for the sets either. <smug mode>I actually expected this and it's why I got the sets in the first day or two of the sale.</smug mode> Quote

jonwil Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Around here in Perth mostly what I see is the impulse sets and occasionally one or 2 of the others. Not that I mind, I bought all that I wanted (impulse and cannon battle), not building Pirates (plus I got a re-issue BSB already) so I dont care about the larger sets. Now if only someone would get some stock of the Space Police impulses :( (oh and a sale on the Agents 2.0 robot would be nice too :) Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 2, 2009 Governor Posted November 2, 2009 I've got the soldier impulse (Toyworld) but that's it! For the first time ever I went to Toyworld and they actually had the Impulse sets in stock. The sales people told me the Pirate and Space Police Impulse sets were very popular which required them to restock the shelves daily. Quote
Inevitable Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I never thought that there're very few Lego Pirates in Aussie. Here in Indonesia there're many Lego Pirates. Even Shipwreck Hideout can be found in stock. Quote
Governor Wes Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 'GULP' No pirate sets in oz? I'm going to be living in Queensland. Any idea if any are there? If not, I'm going on every on-line shop to find them. if it matters, central Queensland, in a small city called Gladstone. Quote
