Hello everyone,

My name is Frank, I'm in my mid-twenties, and reside in California. I joined back in March, and have been hanging around (lurking) on an almost daily basis. Working on a MOC for category 2 of the train contest, which has prompted me to introduce myself. I've never been one to post much on forums, but that may change here on Eurobricks.

A little bit about me, taken from my Brickset profile:

Themes I like: Town, Train, and 2006+ City

Favorite set: 6542 Launch & Load Seaport (a Christmas gift from my parents in '91)

First set: 6528 Sand Storm Racer

My Obsession/Dark age: My love for LEGO was reignited by two boys my girlfriend babysits. They had a few sets, I bought them some, and then started buying some sets of my own, starting with 2007 City and set 7733. I discovered Brickset and started finding out what I had missed out on. Luckily, what I had missed was the World City line and <insert that tiresome argument> pieces; I was glad my dark age came at a time in which LEGO was in a dark age of their own. I began rebuilding the sets from my childhood that I still had, buying the sets I never got as a child, and collecting the newer sets that appealed to me in the City theme. Most recently, the Emerald Night has stimulated an interest in trains, prompting me to collect the realistic train models (complete Sante Fe line and BNSF w/intermodal cars). I am slowly working on gathering a layout using PF and RC track (cost being a large prohibitive factor). Bricklink, eBay, TRU, and the LEGO store have put a hurt on my wallet, but I truly enjoy the hobby and don't mind being labeled an AFOL.

Happy to be a part of a community with a shared passion for LEGO.

Hello Frank! :classic: Your favourite themes are also mine. The only problem is this: I don't have any train sets. :cry_sad: Your favourite and first set are nice. I hope you will have fun sharing your MOCs here. :sweet:

Welcome to Eurobricks. Enjoy your stay
