KimT Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Set#: EB001 Set Name: Midnight Build Parts: Quite a few, most were rare at the time. Price: Priceless Amount: Limited Edition - only at the event for the eventees. Plus one lucky modelbuilder Designer: CopMike So, as I am shuffling through my closet, sorting and cleaning, I stumbled upon my collection of Eurobricks Event Kits. And the first one to start it all off is this one: The Midnight Build handed out as part of the Event Specials during the Event in 2007. This particular set was designed by CopMike and it made quite the ruckus when he handed them to us. Set and box next to each other. I don't recall if we got any instructions for this vignette or not. But at least the box has a nice picture that would at least inspire the build Without much further comments, I'll share pics of the build vignette: Now you might wonder why this set is named "Midnight Build", but it's fairly simple. At least as I remember it. It's all about our hobby. When we get a new set that we've been anticipating for a loooong time. Then we lose track of time and we build all the way through the evening into the midnight. In this particular vignette depicts the building of the Sandcrawler. - Yes I know it's a very small sandcrawler on the desk. But sadly my set was missing a few parts. As you can see the AFOL is using the ol'-tools-of-the-trade - Coca Cola and chocolate to keep the mind sharp. So sharp that he's forgotten to water his flower Yup' it's for real. Aren't you just sad you didn't go and didn't get this? Quote
Skipper 24 Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Another event set review. The case isn't quite as glamorous as the Brickworld set though . I'm not quite sure what the brown cheese slope on the desk is meant to be but the whole scene looks great with all the details. Quote

It's a Sandcrawler, I just didn't get all the parts. And calling LEGO Direct for replacement parts haven't given me anything Quote
prateek Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Another event review! I like the scenery in this one. It looks really realistic Quote

Dr Kilroy Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 (edited) Reading pwns me. Me also. I have done the same mistake. Nice set! Lamp, desk and plant are nice designed. I must buy this Coca-Cola. I have only one question: why this minifig has grey hands? :D Edited August 26, 2009 by Dr Kilroy Quote
KimT Posted August 26, 2009 Author Posted August 26, 2009 Isn't it obvious why? He doesn't want his dirty finger to smudge the set he's building. Quote
Dr Kilroy Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Oh, thanks for answer! I never do that. Yes, and it's obvious why he has dirty fingers - do you know someone, who ate chocolade and didn't get dirty his fingers? Quote
