Marckeyh Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Who his this *** of ***** how take MY video on HIS dailymotion account ????? I'm fed up with that kind of as****e !!! Yeah that's out of order :( Hopefully nobody will buy it for £250! Karma... Does anyone else find the front bumper and lights of the container truck really ugly? Also, I was hoping it would be a bit bigger! Hopefully we'll get a nice super car next year. Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) @ Anio: It's not so nice of this person to use your video without your permission. But at least he/she didn't present it as his own. @smitty: For now the sets are only available in the UK. And did we read the text placed with the 8051? High Octane Two-Wheeled Action!........ * ......... * ........ * Includes instructions for rebuilding into a lawnmower * ............. B-model a Lawnmower? Edited July 1, 2010 by JunkstyleGio Quote
vmln8r Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I just followed your link to Shop@Home, but none of them are listed. They're not online for NZ either, select UK to see them. As expected they are very expensive Quote
Anio Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 I contacted Dailymotion to ask them to delete the video. And I'm very surprised as they did an excellent work !! In less than 24h, they solved the problem ! I'm impressed. O_o So, all is well that ends well. :) Quote
freakwave Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 B-model a Lawnmower? I guess somebody at LEGO did a copy and paste from the 8256. It has also the lawnmower in the description and looks more suitable to be converted :-) Quote
mortenm Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 this is going to be really great! the new models are launched here in Denmark in late july, nad we have a mall, which allways have 40% off, the first or second week of august. cant wait to buy those new models for a very nice price! :) Quote
Anio Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 inventories for 8053&8052 anywhere? Yes. Here is inventory for 8052 : Black panel : quantity = 2 Quote
Pauger Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 (edited) Nice Thank you Doesn't seem like TLC fancy clutches anymore Edited July 3, 2010 by Pauger Quote
Marckeyh Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 These sets were in the milton keynes (UK) lego shop this weekend, except for the motor bike. Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I like the color scheme of 8052! It's nice to see another blue set, and more black panels are great! the new models are launched here in Denmark in late july, nad we have a mall, which allways have 40% off, the first or second week of august. Interesting. Where in Denmark is this mall? Doesn't seem like TLC fancy clutches anymore I don't think clutches are needed since there is only one function. I hope they don't get rid of clutches! Balrog Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 The lego website is so funny. The new items are not available in my country yet (Germany) so I switch to UK for review. I click the excavator and get to the detail page. Everything in german already. Very funny :D But still if I change the country again it says "not available yet" :( Quote

I'm thinking about the white 24t clutch, not the dark gray 16t idlers. It seems unlogical for me to use a regular 24t gear between the motor and the LA instead of a clutch. You are right, it seems Lego has not been using the 24t clutch gears in the newer sets. Quote
mortenm Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Interesting. Where in Denmark is this mall? Its called Bilka, and they have a store in all bigger cities. The lego website is so funny. The new items are not available in my country yet (Germany) so I switch to UK for review. I click the excavator and get to the detail page. Everything in german already. Very funny :D But still if I change the country again it says "not available yet" :( thats weird, when i do that i only see the old models, none of the new ones does show... Quote
merman Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Ah, ok. My fault then; I read your post wrong. You are right, it seems Lego has not been using the 24t clutch gears in the newer sets. The reason for this is that the Linear Actuator already has a built-in clutch mechanism Quote
Pauger Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 The reason for this is that the Linear Actuator already has a built-in clutch mechanism The LA's built-in clutch only steps in at really high resistanse, and i think a clutch would be preferred at most cases... at least here. (?) Quote
Anio Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 (edited) The LA's built-in clutch only steps in at really high resistanse, and i think a clutch would be preferred at most cases... at least here. (?) As I have the set, I can say that the model REALLY NEED a clutch. It is like 8264. It sounds horrible. And it is even worse. Because the set has a 24t. The ampliroll mode is nice, but the model is eventually not very complex. The steering is exactly the same as 8292 (turning radius : 35cm). It works well. Now, I'm waiting for 8053... JunkstyleGio Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Downloads (not complete ....) are available for the b-models... Quote
Anio Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) Downloads (not complete ....) are available for the b-models... Yes, but they did big mistakes... edit : I've been talking with a friend. He downloaded the files and he got all the instructions complete. He sent them to me. I don't understand why my files were not complete. O_o Edited July 9, 2010 by Anio Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 This morning there were some wrong files attached to the links at the lego site. This afternoon all is working alright. TLG must have had many complaints... The only 2h2010 b-model not available is the 8051... But that might be because that building-instruction is included in the box? Quote
tomacwhite Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 I just looked at the first page of this thread and saw that it was nearly a year ago that we found out about the 1H 2010 models (28th August). I wonder when we will find out about the 1H 2011 models and what could they be?! Would be nice if Lego used pneumatics again (if the Forest Tractor was popular?). Quote
