M_longer Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 (edited) Second part of my project: Truck, trailer and a nacelle. One of my fastest built MOC. I've spent only 10 hours on building it. Unfortunately, my 'big project' requires much more parts than I firstly thought. So it will be suspended untill I buy more parts ;) General view: Without nacelle: The trailer can be extended by 10 studs. Truck with trailer is 110 studs in length at maximum. All axles in trailer are steerable: And a truck. Probably Scania 8x4 Highline ;) Brickshelf Flickr MOCPages Now I need only 'few' more parts to continue this 'little' project... ;) Edited August 30, 2009 by TheBrickster Quote

-Jim- Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Very nice indeed. I have an idea to what your big project is, crawler crane and wind turbine set up. I'm hopeing my crane will be half as good as yours. Quote
BillytheKid Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Good job . This is more serious building. Quote
black painter Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Very nice set up. I love the look of the scania. Quote
Siegfried Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Beautiful work! I love your corner windscreen solution. I have an idea to what your big project is, crawler crane and wind turbine set up. prateek Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Beautiful work! I love your corner windscreen solution.Yeah; I've got some ideas! (The crane is a Liebherr LG 1550.) All you need to get is the new crane set and get 50 of the beam pieces in it. As for the truck great job! For the steering wheels in the trailer, make them backwards so they will follow the lead of the truck instead of locking when turning. (I hope that makes sense) Quote
BillytheKid Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 I think that crane is specially made to lift those rotors up to that windmill. Very interesting crane. Quote
M_longer Posted August 29, 2009 Author Posted August 29, 2009 All you need to get is the new crane set and get 50 of the beam pieces in it. Believe or not, I HAVE 50 of them :D As for the truck great job! For the steering wheels in the trailer, make them backwards so they will follow the lead of the truck instead of locking when turning. (I hope that makes sense) Thank you. Yes, you have right. I'm not sure why I didn't set the rear wheels 'backwards', but let's say that they are set to the crab steering ;) Quote
prateek Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Believe or not, I HAVE 50 of them :D Then I'll be waiting for a crane Quote

jeffjcc Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Wow! Tottaly awesome MOC! Very sweet Scania. The steerable trailer is great. I really love the small touches such as the Chrome on the back of the Scania AND the spare tires on the trailer!!! As with the 7747 trailer, I'm still not sure I like the minfig doors on there. I am in love with the new wind turbines/trucks etc... Vestas 4999 didn't do it for me, but 7747 has easily become my favorite set of 09. GREAT JOB Quote
