The biggest problem I am having is how do the Imperial get off the rock? Would it be better to have a ramp or ladder? The crane is for moving cannon around. Oh, I do have more redcoats on order.

I would suggest to make a stone staircase on the side of the ridge. Just put 2 x 4 dark gray bricks to make a stairs, then case the stairs with the apporiate amount of White bricks so it looks like a solid stairs.

good MOC, I think the people feel save there. The blue house is nice (no colours looks boring) and I also like the small bridge between the 2 brown plates.

To your ladder problem: I dont really see wich rock you mean, but if you mean the big part with white buildings and 2 cannons, I think something like stairs or a ramp would look good. If you mean the small tower with 1 cannon, I would have used a ladder.

I would sulpt the stairs into the rock face - build outwards from those BURPs, and make it look like the stairs are carved into the rock.

A very good start, and looking forward to seeing the final thing!

BTW, the name is from Narnia, right?

I agree with SlyOwl on the stairs. I think that it would be the best option you have right now. A ladder might work as well though.

This MOC looks very promising. :pir-wink: Keep up the good work

Hey there, please reduce the image in your first post. The maximum width we all allow is 800 pixels, yours is way bigger! Should you need help with resizing pictures, tutorials are here. Right now the picture is kinda taking very long to load, so I'll drop by again later to take a closer look on your work.

Sorry about that. Fixed. :pir_wacko:

@ slyowl

Yes the name is, but the fort isn't

Here's a small boat I put together yesterday. It is sort of based off of the ship from the Imperial Trading Post. The sail was made by doubling the sail from the Enchanted Island boat. This also has a better view of my waves.

It looks great. There is something very fun about the design. I see you have your stairs figured out but another way to go if you wanted to save room would just be to build a door into the rocks. You don't have to show the way up as you are implying that beyond the door is a way up.

But who ever heard of a fight scene without a staircase? :shark:

So I've been busy...

Added the lighthouse and a pier and the building behind the light. Also waitng for a Bricklink Baseplate order... :pir-hmpf_bad:

I added the Islander section which is an expanded Enchanted Island with shipwreck. I thought using the Western river baseplate was a nice transition from the green through the beach.

What do you think?

Goes on display possibly Friday.

No, the spaceship will not invade and break the Prime Directive.

Yes, the space is a whole different display.

Your layouts is really looking good. There is really many details I enjoy and like.

Like the way you did the waves, very creative and simple.

Looking forward to follow your work.

Really cool! I love the lighthouse, as well as the neat fort, the only thing would suggest is to put a building in the middle, it looks a little plain. Good job though!

There is a building, a fish stand, under the palm tree. I include some more shots in a day or two.

Nice, the fort is turning out pretty big and the light tower is simple but effective. On the Islander side I especially like how you're integrating the printed baseplates with the rest of the layout. Looking forward to more.
