My first train set was 4708 - The Hogwort's Express. I've since modded it to run on the 9V track I got with 10132 (also the Hogwort's Express). Seems my Mother-in-Law knew I liked Harry Potter.

My first "train" was the unitron monrail that I picked up from a garage sale in college. I was in my dark ages, but at 10 bucks, it was too good to pass up.

My first TRAIN theme set was the Engine Shed. I was just out of my dark ages, and in the year before Cafe Corner came out, it was the most realistic LEGO "Building" available.

My First actual Train was the Hobby Train and Christmas Train which I purchased when they went half off on LEGO.com. I never really considered myself a train builder, but I had wanted to get a train of my own for a while. I still haven't gotten around to MOC'ing a train yet, but someday...

Mine was 4561, and the set is horrible. Just probably the worst train LEGO has made, I hate it. I bought it because it was $50 at Target.com in 2002 or so. $10 for shipping and $3 for tax.

I really wish I bought the cargo crane from World City, I don't know why I didn't.

My Christmas present in 1989:

:cry_happy:

This was going to be my first train but it was out of stock back then and I ended up with the (also great) 7735.

Still my most wanted train set. I must get it sometime.
