Oky Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 A very nice bunch of hot Gotham chics you assembled there again, The Penguin! I bet Nora would look great in the Bacta tank from the Republic Gunship! If you're looking for new ideas, B:TBATB is chuck-full of them! Especially the Owlman episodes: Owlman, Red Hood, B:TBATB-style Joker, and all the alternate versions of Batman, just to name a few! And I would love it if you could make my favorite character from the show, Blue Beetle! And if you should ever get tired of fig-customizing, you could always put all those great figs of yours to good use and make MOCs to put them in! To the Okymobile! Quote
Batbrick Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 And this time I'll be keeping up! Will try ot reply to your reply soon friend! Nora Fries: Fantastic, I really love the pale, and obviously asleep look you've given her. Perfect hair choice too, you seem to have a skill with that Summer Gleeson: Very nice! For some reason, Summer Gleeson was one of my favourite regulars on BTAS, she just seemed to have a good rounded personality beyond "tv presenter", something that BTAS was great at doing with its original characters. I like the hair and face you've chosen, and while the suit looks good I think you should close the gap on it a bit as it looks a bit too wide. Dr Harleen Quinzel: You've made a Harley before haven't you? Either way, I really like this design, the blue eyes and and red/black hair bond are great touches. Janet Van Dorn: Wow! I never thought of adapting this character, she was very good in The trial, did she appear in any other episodes? The skeptical glasses face looks very accurate, and the suit looks fantastic barring a smudge. An excellent batch friend, I await the next! Batbrick Away! Quote
The Penguin Posted June 28, 2010 Author Posted June 28, 2010 Ah Penguin, I do just adore your Scarecrow Minifig from Batman Arkham Asylum, and Summer Gleeson from my favourite Batman the animated Series episode "Nothing to Fear". Keep up the good work Penguin! -Scarecrow Thank you, Dr.Crane! ) I myself prefer the episode "Never fear". ) Good girls part. Keep up the good work! Thank you. ) My computer was crashes, so I couldn't see your fantastic new works. I'm very pleased, because you made a lot of character I suggested. Black Canary looks much better with her necklace, and Robin is good too. The Poison Ivy goons are nice work too, but from the bunch is Riddler. This version of him is my favorite, and his cane is perfect ! Joker's gun reminds me of the one, he had in the '89-s movie and I like it . You captured Montague Kane's appareance very well, as well as Genereral Vreeland's( ) and Grant Walker's too(he was a sick old man, but I'm not sure, that he deserved, what he got). Nightwing looks better with this hair, than in the Arkham Asylum set. The leader of this field is Zatanna She's beautiful, and I'm happy, you could make her hair with the hat. Kyodai Ken was a really good character in the animated series(and the first, who died in it), ou did a great job on him, especially on the face. From this bunch, my favorite is Calendar Man. Although he's not so famous villain, he has a great suit, which I wanted to se in LEGO and you made it better than the LEGO company could . Prometheus is the second best, he has a really good costume too, and you made it very well. Mrs Fries looks beautiful . You made Summer Gleeson really like in the series(especially her eyes). Harley Quinn is khmm.. cute in her "normal" form. Janet Van Dorm is also really like in her animated version. You made my day again, my friend! I hope you won't stop making your wonderful figures. And if I may ask, would you make the '92-s Batman Returns' Penguin and Catwoman? I really liked that movie, although it showed a completly different Penguin, we like(but DeVito still made a really good job on the character) Oh, Viceroy! ) You're always very kind to my humble customs. ) It was just yesterday that i was thinking that I haven't seen you around for a while! ) I hope you'll like the upcoming part as well! ) And boom, I just finished editing a pic of the joker, so it looks like he's covered in blood, you'll also note that I authenticated it... sorta, here ya go: I hope it's to your liking, and that you aren't picky when you decide to finaly make it. Thank you very much, Oky! ) And thanks for the ideas about the characters. Though, is there a place where I can have a look at all those BBB characters? Yes, Blue Beetle is a nice character, very interesting and good-looking. Though he's not a Batman character is he? ) However, since i'd made the Green Arrow, why not mke him, and say, Aquaman? ) As for MOCs, well I tried to do it, putting them in my Arkham MOC..... However you're right and I definitely need some new MOC that could include my ever growing collection! ) And this time I'll be keeping up! Will try ot reply to your reply soon friend! Thanks, friend! ) Thank you for your kind words! Hm, I gueess You're right about the gap, I'll see what I can do about it. Yes, I have indeed made a HQ minifig (one of the first customs, actually), but it was purist and since my skills have evolved a bit, I thought I could try and make her again. ) I hope you'll like the (soon) upcoming part as well! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote

Nute Gunray Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 A great new bunch of figures, from my favourite adaptation of the Batman myth. Sewer King was a sick ba**ard, I wished his crocos will eat him. You made him very well, but again it impressed me, how well you could capture his face expression(and I can say that for all the figures). Sacrecrow is a perfect job too, it couldn't be made better, if it was made by TLG. My favourite here is The Mad Hatter. The best parts of him are his rat-like teeth, and his coat. Thank you for these works of art, it's always a plesure to see them! I am a bit ashemed of I am a big fan of Batman, but I haven't made any MOC's yet, but maybe these theys I'll try it. Quote
LuxorV Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 It's nice to see so great enthusiasm for a nice topic like this, but I feel a couple of things have to be clear: THESE ARE GETTING BETTER BY THE SECOND, ARE YOU ON STEROIDS OR SOMETHING? BY- A GUY WHO NEEDS TO SAY:THANKS ALOT THE PENGUIN, NOW, THANKS TO CONSTANTLY USING IT, MY CAPS LOCK BUTTON IS BROKEN HAHAHAHAHE Please avoid posting in all caps; it is annoying and it is equivalent to shouting . And please cut a bit on the rumbling posts. As I said before, they may be nice and funny from time to time, but they get tiresome very fast at the rate you spread them. Thank you. OMG!, Penguin I just love that Scarecrow! ! It's amazing, but of course i would love him, because i just adore the Scarecrow. What a coincidence! I just finished watching "Never Fear" . Love it Penguin , keep up your amazing work! -Scarecrow A minor note here: to avoid doubling the loading time of a page, please do not quote a whole post with images (especially image heavy ones like these). A good solution can be quoting the post, but replacing the image links with *image* or something like that. Thanks Quote
RoryoCox Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Excellent Penguin, Really good. I love the Scarecrow. Well Done Quote
halomaster96 Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Another great part Penguin! I noticed that on this part on your brickshelf it says people could now purchase your figures, how would I be able to do that? Also I have been working on a few custom batman figures of my own, I hope you like them. Again you make the best batman figures. Quote
???theriddler??? Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 These are REALLY REALLY great! Sewer King is good, but yeah, it was one of the worst episodes from BTAS(not TNBA). Do i see Harry Potter there . Mad Hatter is my favorite, only his smile is too big. Scarecrow is also amazing, only a little bit too dark. Quote
The Penguin Posted August 26, 2010 Author Posted August 26, 2010 Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) I'm back from my vacation, since the new term is about to start in a few days, and students are just begging to be tortured again! So after a long gap I decided to post a big new part! I hope you'll like it. ) Gotham prostitutes with their "daddy". ) (Those new collectible minifigs parts are really useful!) Iceberg Lounge barman. ) Blackgate guards. ) (Please note how I made them look "lighter" and less sinister than Arkham ones.....) Bruce Wayne and Tim Drake training. ) (Carate master's torso can be really nice after certain alterations.) Now time for villains! ) Yay! King Tut. (60-s version vs his modern one. however, if I recall correctly a modern one has appeared only in one comic story so far.) Catwoman with a new torso. ) (Who said that SW torsos are useless?) She's angry, however for some reason..... Purring with the Penguin. ) TNBA Scarecrow with Games pumpkins and zombies. ) (Nothing special, just couldn't resist posting him again. ) Mr.Freeze with his new goons. ) (Another use for collectible minifigs torsos. Still I should do something about the numbers, i guess.....) The Joker. (Based on Batman:Harley Quinn, Batman Under the Red Hood and Batman Beyond versions. ) The Joker with his new goons. ) Harley: Darling! Joker: Harley! Harley: Darling! Joker Huh? Who's that? Is that a bush? Is that a tree? It's Poison Ivy! ) (Isn't she lovely!?) Harley and Ivy. ) Gotham girls. ) I hope you liked that part! ) Any comments, please? ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
LuxorV Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Nice to see you back with such a collection of 'good' new characters, Penguin You really found some useful and inventive uses for the Series 2 figs here! Quote
WhiteFang Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Welcome back, The Penguin. I hope you have an enjoyable long vacation. Great job on your recent Batman customisation creations, it's enjoyable to see that you are able to further develop Batman context into another greater heights. I love the way you used those Series 2 minifigs. Quote
Lord of the bricks Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 How did u change the torsos skin from yellow to light flesh ? Quote
blhc11 Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 How could I have possibly missed this? Yet again you have made me feel the need to say that you've done a great job, what kind of gentelman(besides a crazy one) would I be if I didn't say it. I like theese very much, I personaly only have two collectable minifigs(a magician and a clown(am I the only one who sees the irony?)) and I never thought of using them to make batman characters, I mostly like(of course) the Joker, your minifig's new hair and face look very nice. Poison Ivy also looks beatiful as ever, even though I would have gone with a lighter green if I had the chance, freeze's goons remember me of "Batman and Robin"(terrible, terrible movie) because, much like in the movie, they look ready to play hockey, and that's why I never again believed in Schumacher... and he first minifigure of all(dare I make the pun?) looks pimpin'(I did, I did!). Theese were the ones who caught my eye the most, the Scarecrow's goons aren't really new(nor alive for that matter) and "Kung-fu action Bruce Wayne and Timmy boy" are nice but not something I'd make... also I like the fact that you are "making" employees, why didn't the Americans think of that before making everyone suffer from the economy?(Then again money isn't a problem for me(yet!) so I shouldn't be complayning(yet!)) And of course the Black gate guards are as loveable as "huginess" allows without becoming innapropriate, I like anyone that keeps Bane locked up, I didn't pay him after his last failed service... Cheers my feathered friend, I hope next time I pay more attention to this sub-forum, I don't want to miss any other installment of "The Amazing Penguin's "Fantabulastical" Batman Minifigures!" By- The goon who wants to go to the moon while sharing doom filling tomb(s) P.s:"Kung-fu action Bruce Wayne and Timmy boy" was indeed a "Family Guy" joke, Comedy is the one thing I don't want to dye yet I'm not helping it to live either...
