Admiral Woodhouse Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 My Brickshelf is not working. Do I have to use Brickshelf? Also do the weapons count as a piece or are the part of the minifig? Quote
Clone OPatra Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 My Brickshelf is not working. Do I have to use Brickshelf? Also do the weapons count as a piece or are the part of the minifig? You can use any image hosting site that will allow you to deeplink. Weapons count to your total parts count they're not part of the minifigure. Quote

JimBee Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Question: ADHO15 was talking about having generic characters in battle packs- does that mean we have to have all generic characters? I know that that's what battle packs really are, but mine is revolved around a main character, however unrealistic that would be for a real battle pack. But this is a contest, so it doesn't have to be realistic, right? Quote

Oky Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Question: ADHO15 was talking about having generic characters in battle packs- does that mean we have to have all generic characters? I know that that's what battle packs really are, but mine is revolved around a main character, however unrealistic that would be for a real battle pack. But this is a contest, so it doesn't have to be realistic, right? Well, as the motto of this contest is "Design the Battle Pack of your dreams", I guess there's nobody who could tell you that you can't include a main character if that's what your dream BP is. Just keep in mind that people who think that this isn't a "proper BP" might not vote for it. Your call. Quote
KimT Posted September 14, 2009 Author Posted September 14, 2009 Thanks Oky. That would be my reply as well. Quote
JimBee Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Okay, thanks. I will continue my original idea based around this main character. Quote
Oky Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 *looks at sig* Hmmm... I wonder what that character could be. Quote
JimBee Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 You'd be surprised. But now that you mention it... Quote
filip skywalker Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 When you include droids, do the parts (arms, legs torso and head) count in piece count, or not? And does a brick-built droideka count as a minifig, and if it does, do the pieces count in total piece count? Quote
KimT Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Rules Of Entry: 4 Minifigs - brickbuilt minifigs counts a minifig (no more, no less).... When you include droids, do the parts (arms, legs torso and head) count in piece count, or not? And does a brick-built droideka count as a minifig, and if it does, do the pieces count in total piece count? The Droideka is considered a minifig. Quote
KimT Posted September 19, 2009 Author Posted September 19, 2009 Hello,I have a quite question about the battle pack contest. If you delete your past entry are you allowed to enter a new one? If you want to change your entry. Then just edit your first post and ask for a title change and I'll change it for you. Simple as that. All entries are considered WIPs (works in progress) until the deadline on the 30th. Quote
Christo1096-TheIceBreaker Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 (edited) It's only in Europe or all in the worldwide? I want to join this. Edited September 22, 2009 by Christo1096-TheIceBreaker Quote
JimBee Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Yes, anyone can join any contest here, unless the rules state otherwise. Quote
Christo1096-TheIceBreaker Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Ok, thanks. ehm, are minifig weapons counted? Quote
Aussie Ben Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I realise this is going to sound like a stupid question, but here goes: Given that battle packs have to be star-wars related (whether from our own imagination, or from George Lucas's), do the figures have to come from a "known" galaxy/system, or can they be designed around some system/race/droid design imagined by the battle-pack designer provided the S@H style description explains how they fit in? Quote
KimT Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 Ok, thanks. ehm, are minifig weapons counted? Yes they count as a part/piece. Either is good. Use your imagination. Quote
commdr_neyo Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Rules Of Entry: No baseplates (or large parts like BURP). No large parts - it's a Battle Pack and should resemble existing BP's in size and contents. Are parts like this one allowed? And parts like small sails? Quote
Eskallon Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 [*]In the week up to the deadline all entries will be looked over and requirements to comply with the rules will be posted in the entry's topic. Will this be happening any time soon as we have 3 days left. Quote
