You can use any image hosting site that will allow you to deeplink. Weapons count to your total parts count they're not part of the minifigure.

Question: ADHO15 was talking about having generic characters in battle packs- does that mean we have to have all generic characters? I know that that's what battle packs really are, but mine is revolved around a main character, however unrealistic that would be for a real battle pack. But this is a contest, so it doesn't have to be realistic, right?

Well, as the motto of this contest is "Design the Battle Pack of your dreams", I guess there's nobody who could tell you that you can't include a main character if that's what your dream BP is. Just keep in mind that people who think that this isn't a "proper BP" might not vote for it.

When you include droids, do the parts (arms, legs torso and head) count in piece count, or not? And does a brick-built droideka count as a minifig, and if it does, do the pieces count in total piece count?

The Droideka is considered a minifig.

I have a quite question about the battle pack contest. If you delete your past entry are you allowed to enter a new one?

If you want to change your entry.

Then just edit your first post and ask for a title change and I'll change it for you.

Simple as that.

All entries are considered WIPs (works in progress) until the deadline on the 30th.

Given that battle packs have to be star-wars related (whether from our own imagination, or from George Lucas's), do the figures have to come from a "known" galaxy/system, or can they be designed around some system/race/droid design imagined by the battle-pack designer provided the S@H style description explains how they fit in?

Yes they count as a part/piece.
