Oky Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Has anyone bothered yet to ask Customer Service if these will come to the US? Quote
Eskallon Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 They ran out of newspapers in my local branch so we had to run to saisbury's to pick one up. In the end we got two. Quote
Danthebrick Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) The tactic worked again! Get the things from Smiths! They don't collect the vouchers, so you can go back and get some more later! Oh yeh, I beat you by two Mutley. Doh! This morning the crafty and devious sales assistant had obviously figured out the kind of antics we have been upto and made me cut out the coupons from my papers. Penitent Tangent Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Some of you guys are being pretty evil, there's a limited amount and kids want these things too. I managed to get my Clone Walkers from WHSmith this morning, since they were closed yesterday, so I'm happy at least. The Clone Walker is very cute, and I like the Tie Fighter, it's nice to see we're finally getting mini's over here again. Quote
smokebelch Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Inspired to do a quick shot after todays freebie ^^^ "These Imperial Cut-backs are getting freakin' ridiculous!" Quote
cavegod Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 dunno if its been posted but if you post off five different coupons you get the entire set mailed to your door. Quote
ADHO15 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) dunno if its been posted but if you post off five different coupons you get the entire set mailed to your door. To quote myself, like the 'plural sheep' I am : I have today's Daily Mirror. It says that each set must be picked up on the day it is released. For example, I can get today's Imperial Speeder Bike today at Toys'R'Us or WHSmith, but tomorrow I can only get the Clone Walker. However, you can send five DIFFERENT vouchers with a cheque for £5.99 payable to 'MGN Ltd' to claim the six toys and the collector's box. The address will be printed next week. The closing date is Friday 25th September. Allow 28 days from the closing date for delivery. Only one free LEGO item per customer. The poster and stickers will be inside next Saturday and Sunday's papers. Edited September 7, 2009 by ADHO15 Quote
pedro Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Just a wee note about this promotion (I posted under Matt Dawson's 30004 review)... As I've come to read it it's one set per reader and the places I've visited interpret this as one reader = one newspaper purchase. If you should need some kind of explanation, say that you're picking them up for multiple people (as I actually am). So, I also be self-quoting now! But not quite on same level as the plural-sheep-king ADHO! Quote
Dennimator Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Um... Maybe a little late to ask now, but can someone please pick some up for me? If so, I´ll pay the newspapers´price and the shipping. (I only want the sets, not the collector box, stickers or poster.) If someone can do this for me, please PM me. I´d appreciate it very much. Thanks!^^ Oh, and if you could get multiple sets for the vouchers, its OK for me. Quote
mutley777 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Today has been the most fun lego day i have had for quite a while. Quote
Joey Lock Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Today has been the most fun lego day i have had for quite a while. Seriously, What did you say to the person behind the till when they saw you buying £30-40 of Newspaper?! And then coming back for the Lego! "There for a kids party, The Newspaper is for them painting...And the Lego is for them...er...Playing...Yeah." Quote
mutley777 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Seriously, What did you say to the person behind the till when they saw you buying £30-40 of Newspaper?! Well you are quite wrong there joey. That lot only cost me £8.10 in news papers Quote
Joey Lock Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Well you are quite wrong there joey. That lot only cost me £8.10 in news papers I swear someone said like there 1 quid each... I didn't us common sense. Quote
mutley777 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I swear someone said like there 1 quid each... The sunday paper was £1. The daily paper is only 45p. Quote

SlyOwl Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 My dad stopped by a WHSmith at lunchtime today, and they were out of today's freebies, but not newspapers... Anyway, for the one paper he bought, the woman gave him two Imperial Speeder Bikes - it's worth asking around for surplus. Quote
-JD- Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Ten STAPS in a row looks awesome, but twenty-four?! You lucky boy Mutley. Quote
Skipper 24 Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Today has been the most fun lego day i have had for quite a while. I'm sure you had fun. Quote
Rufus Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 My local WHSmith gives me random sets. Monday I got Saturday's speeder, Tuesday i got Monday's Tie, today I got yesterdays STAP. Got to keep the coupons! There was no way I was going to buy several copies of the Mirror though. Quote
Dfenz Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 The sunday paper was £1. The daily paper is only 45p. Lucky you. In Ireland its a euro for practically the same paper with a few Irish-specific front and back pages so no additional quality. Don't anyone ever complain about Lego exchange rates again!! Quote
Eskallon Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 I got todays and the stap yesterday but I missed the tie. Um what are you all on about this being 45p, for me it is 65p. Quote
ADHO15 Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 I got todays and the stap yesterday but I missed the tie. Um what are you all on about this being 45p, for me it is 65p. It should be 45p for a weekday Mirror, 65p for the Saturday one and £1.00 for the Sunday paper. Your newsagents overcharging you if you had to pay 65p yesterday. Quote
