September 4, 200915 yr How unfair it is that USA always have the greatest sales ever.............. I need thinking to move to USA.
September 4, 200915 yr Call up LEGO mayb they'll give you the differance since it's so close in time.
September 4, 200915 yr Doesn't just happen with Lego. You get things like that happening all the time. As Big Cam suggested you should contact Lego and see if they will give you the discounted price. I find that some retailers are happy to do that ... especially for regular customers.
September 4, 200915 yr Oh the nerve! How unfair and unpredictable TLC is sometimes. You could have also used your first post on EB to introduce yourself, instead of rant about TLG. Maybe you can also ask them if they can call you the next time they plan to put something on sale (Furthermore, I don't see why this should be in trains and town, this should be in the buying/selling or community forum, if at all posted)
September 4, 200915 yr no big deal. legoshop does this all the time. See the price go back to normal in a week.
September 4, 200915 yr This is from The Store calendar for September: Save $30 off Green Grocer: September 4-16 only! It's a limted time deal. I dont know if TLG will give you a refund or not.
September 4, 200915 yr Ah, good point, I take back my suggestion. Can't expect them to discount it for everyone early.
September 5, 200915 yr I appreciate this bit of information. Often times, discounted sets sell out quickly. I just ordered Green Grocer after reading this thread, plus received free shipping. That's a pretty good deal. I picked up Cafe Corner recently and just love the set. Can't wait to add Green Grocer and the Fire Brigade. These modular sets are awesome!
September 5, 200915 yr How unfair it is that USA always have the greatest sales ever Canada too this time. It's now $189 CAD and the free shipping for orders over $75 also applies. Total price -- including taxes -- is just shy of $200, which is about a $50 savings over the regular price with regular shipping fees. Edited September 5, 200915 yr by Teez
September 5, 200915 yr Life isn't fair, but we have the ability to make it enjoyable or not in how we deal with things. I was planning to buy this set in a few weeks during a planned visit to a Lego store (at full price). If the set was available, I would have been just as happy to find it, take it home, and add it to my Train Town. Now that I see it on sale, that's even better. It's all about timing; and again, how you look at your own fortune/misfortune. As a tip, appreciate every day, esp. happiness garnered from smaller things. This is from The Store calendar for September:It's a limted time deal. I dont know if TLG will give you a refund or not. Where do you find the Store Calendar? It's not in the news archive.
September 5, 200915 yr This happened to me once. I re-ordered the sale items and then returned the duplicates when they arrived...
September 5, 200915 yr Where do you find the Store Calendar? It's not in the news archive. Credit goes to my friend TooMuchDew. Town Plan is also $30 $25 off from September 4-16 21-24 in US LEGO Stores. Edited September 5, 200915 yr by ILikePi
September 5, 200915 yr Town Plan is also $30 from September 4-16 21-24 in US LEGO Stores. I believe you mean $30 off .
September 5, 200915 yr Where do you find the Store Calendar? It's not in the news archive. Someone usally post some pictures of every month's calendar on Flickr. I get mine on my monthly trip to my Lego Store at the mall. BTW did anyone get the Indy book cover from last month? I wanted one but they had no Carios or anything I wanted.
