I've got nothing original to add :( Anyone who has already nominated the Sith Infiltrator v1 for its blockiness is dead on the money. The only redeeming feature of this set are the Sith probe droids. But I will say one thing in its favour - if it hadn't been so bad then the guys at LEGO Group wouldn't have done such a ban up job with the second version.

Likewise I'll stick my tick mark on the Aldar Beedo "minifig", but I'm not going side with anyone who lists the freaky battledroid-armed, death-masked faced incarnation because the absolute worst one is the single-cast minifig that came with Watto's Junkyard.

And if I could beg a second nomination I'd probably add Sebulba to the list as well.

Hmmm...

I actually like the Grievous minifig and I believe that the conversion from movie to LEGO version is perfect.

Ah well, we can't agree on everything

I guess ever since I saw this one (link to his MOC thread). The factory one just doesn't comapre, all the one below needs is the proper head. I thinkthe stance does everything for his character.

My least favorite set would have to be Watto's Junkyard. It seems to be a popular set, but I just never saw the point to it, about the only redeeming quality at the time was that it came with quite a few green pieces. You can't build both podracers at the same time

Yes, you can, IF you are willing to sacrifice the rest of the "junkyard" for it.

i don't hate any figure, how ever i hate TLC when they have been lazy and given us "faceless" figures, like the royal guards all black face, and i have a storm trooper with all white face.

Well, think about it. We never saw what imperial guards or stormies look like under their helmets (in the movies), so TLC wouldn't know what kind of face to give them, so the only thing they could have done is to give them stupid smiley faces like the imperial officers. And is that what you really want? :sceptic:

There's money involved?! *oh2* Gimme!!

And to have the parts in the right colour. TLC could've at least given the official GG fig bigger legs with claws :hmpf:

Worst Minifig: Rotta

Worst set: Twilight

That is exactly what I asked people not to post like.

That is NOT keeping this argumentative.

What does everyone has against the old infiltrator? It was one of my favourite sets as a kid :cry_happy: and is not that bad. The design may be poor but the minifigure is great, the functions were well made and the colours were realistic (well, except that blue).

Anyway, on to the topic!

On my opinion, the worst Star Wars set ever, except the bucket ( ) is the #7257 Ultimate Lightsaber Duel. The minifigures are LUL and cannot be used normally or modified, the function to control them (with old soccer axes and platforms) is absurd and the base has a horrible design.

I would also count the 8016 Hyena Droid Bomber as a very bad set because the model absolutely don't look like the "real" ship, it includes many stickers (like many sets now) and useless minifigures (unless you want to create a MOC based on the rescue of Plo Koon and his men aboard the escape pod).

About the worst minifigure, there are too many to list.

I think that the TIE crawler is the worst set in my opinion. Why do you make a set that doesnt really belong in star wars and only the collectors or the people who are ultimate fanatics would buy? I kinda stupid that they put shadow troopers in there and claiming to be exclusive to that set when they appeared in the battle pack any way. I think the hyena droid bomber is up there aswell. Poor design, doesnt look anything like the actual thing and the rocket battle droids just dont fit the set.

I think that the TIE crawler takes the crown in this catergory

Sorry, I personally agree with some of that about the TIE Crawler, but I still like it (I also like the Hyena), however my least favorite set would have to be either versions of the Sith Infiltrator or the T-16. I like Darth Maul, but the first version looked really bad IMO, and the second one (for me at least) fell apart every time I picked it up (among other things...). And the T-16 just sucked in my opinion. There was no real cockpit, the minifig was boring, and to me just a bad set.

No need to go further than the bucket

Worst set ever.

It was poorly designed and the idea of making a Star Wars Bucket a lá the basic brick buckets was a bad idea.

I wont even go here.

I have enjoyed all sets I got and all the figs in that time they came out and what else we knew back then,

they all had their own feelings to them.

Like the X-wing for instance: If they released both 7140 and 6212 at the same time, I would not hesitate on which one to choose.

But they didn´t. When I saw the first X-wing, I loved it. When the new one came out, the old one was dismantled and sorted away.

Ah, have to disagree on both counts there!

Jabba's Palace wasn't the best designed set, but it was the first set to come with Jabba the Hutt and provided a nice little platform for display and play. LEGO also released the modular battlepack-like additions to flesh out the scene and add minifigs. As far as minifigs go, Jabba's Palace gave us: Jabba, Leia slave, Jedi Luke, EV-9D9, Gonk Droid and B'ommar Monk; and the 2 modular add-ons (and let's face it with the base set you had to get 'em) gave us: Bib Fortuna, C-3P0, R2-D2, Boba Fett, Gamorrean guard and Han frozen in carbonite. That's an awesome line-up for each and all!

I think Clone Wars Yoda has loads of character; I like the new design of his head and face and the fact that he has printed colouring on his head really helps bring him to life. His head is perfectly scaled with his body now too. I daresay I prefer him to the original Yoda!

I understand completely, though my feelings about sets generally relate directly to when I bought them rather than comparison between old and new.

A good example for me is 7657 Scout Walker. I was quite disappointed upon seeing the initial images of this set. It is better than the original, which at the time I thought was great, but could almost have been a first generation set with it's particularly blocky build - albiet with the inclusion of some new parts. It just didn't do it for me at all, but the minifig, parts and a discounted price swayed my purchase.

In a sense feeling a wee bit disappointed with LEGO's treatment of the AT-ST prompted me to build my own version - and that can't be a bad thing :sweet:

I was looking through this thread shocked that no one said the bucket set. Then of course Kim did. Yes Kim I have always believed this is defiantly the worst set. When I started collecting all the “new” Star Wars stuff, in 2000, I decided I was only going to buy only sets with Minifigures. Then I saw this. I said I’ll buy all the sets with minifigures except this one. Now almost 10 years later I own almost every set with minifigures excluding this lump of crap and then of course the painfully expensive UCS Millennium Falcon and Death Star Playset as well.

I know that feeling.

As for worst set, I'm going with the Twilight. It's big, ugly, and above all expensive. A close second is the Mos Eisley Cantina. That could have been a great set, with several aliens and such, but instead most of the set is wasted on a speeder and dewback and the only redeeming feature is Greedo. Pet peeves of mine that don't necessarily make them bad sets are the minis (no interest in them) and the blue TIEs (glad to see that has changed).

For figs, aside from the freakishly designed CW human/humanoid faces, it's the brick-built figs that would have benefited more from a new mold, like Gasgano, etc. And I have way too many Jedi Lukes for being a very passive and selective collector.

Hmm, I guess I will voice my opinion here:

Worst set: Well what other people have said before:

Ultimate Lightsaber Duel - rather useless figs and no redeeming features whatsoever.

Jabba`s Palace - it is the palace—just without the palace. Oh, and the monster pit—just without the monster.

Podracer Bucket - why would anyone want it? The figs? Nope. The parts? Nothing useful.

Worst fig: Here too, what has been said:

Buzz droid and Aldaar Beedo - barmy brickbuilts

Most podracer pilots - single piece, non-printed figs with integrated stands. Bah, keep em`.

And what I think about some other sets mentioned:

Original Sith Infiltrator - alright apart from the landing gear, those pieces were never any good for that job.

Twilight - ship is pretty average but I see modding potential. A problem are the figs though.

I never got the "bucket" of the exact same reason. Still not got it, and I dont really count it as a real set. I don´t mind at all what other "collectors" will say (yes you Kim and Morten). THAT thing... is not a SW set in my book.

I almost vomit just thinking of it.
