ADHO15 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 (edited) I was just about to post that Grievous is a cyborg and not a species anymore but you beat me to it. What defines a human? How much can you lose before you stop being a human? Just because he has mechanical additions, doesn't mean he stops becoming a Kaleesh. Cyborg isn't an acceptable species, so he must still be Kaleesh. Not to drag this arguement on any longer, but if it helps you visualise how it works think of Arabs/Asians/Caucasians/Africans/etc - they're human right? It was finished, and you've continued it. I know how it is. It's sort of like how you've put it, except not quite. Koruns were capable of things normal humans weren't, such as common force-sensitivity within the whole race. It's more like wizards and humans. Edited September 8, 2009 by ADHO15 Quote
Darth Legolas Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 (edited) Yes. I let him have it while you were typing. I'm sorry, I really wanna back you up, but I didn't know who was right, but the first thing I found when I googled Korun: The Korunnai (singular, Korun) were a Human race from the planet Haruun Kal. I say they are Human, but called Korun... you know... I don't know. Either way, I like this list! It comes in handy! Edited September 8, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
The Who Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 (edited) Yoda was a form of Tridactyl, if that is how you spell it. EDIT: Plus there's Mynocks. Edited September 8, 2009 by booger540 Quote
Oky Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Plus there's Mynocks. Which minifig is a mynock? Quote
The Who Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Which minifig is a mynock? Oh, did these all have to be actual minifigs of the species? Apparently I didn't understand that part. I just use an old Dinosaur bird piece as Mynocks anyway. Quote
Oky Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Oh, did these all have to be actual minifigs of the species? Apparently I didn't understand that part. Yes, that's the whole point of this topic. That's what Oswald meant by "made for line". Perhaps you should change that to "made into minifigs", Oswald, to make sure that nobody else gets confused. Quote

Oky Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 (edited) I don't think I said this, but I agree that it would be nice/helpful if you would add pics as examples to the index, Oswald. And if you do, you should probably add Windu as a bonus example under Human, just to clarify. Edited September 9, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
Oswald the Rabbit Posted September 9, 2009 Author Posted September 9, 2009 Yoda was a form of Tridactyl, if that is how you spell it.EDIT: Plus there's Mynocks. It is officially never stated what what Yoda's species is. Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 First off, those of you that are trying to offer corrections...try being a little nicer about it. When typing something into a thread on the internet, tone can be very hard to discern. And smilies don't do a thing. I can be super rude to someone and throw ten smilies on the page, all it's gonna do is make that person angrier! Second, there needs to be a source or two where all this information is coming from so you can all stop bickering like 9 year olds! Third, my concern that this could turn into a mess is slowly coming true. Let's see what KimT says about this before I do anything else. Quote
Oswald the Rabbit Posted September 9, 2009 Author Posted September 9, 2009 Well for a source I used wookiepedia.com and wikipedia.com. I don't mind the rudeness I have got accustomed to it sadly on this site. Quote
darkrebellion Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 (edited) Great list !!! Comes really handy. Just after looking at the 2010 sets pics I was expressing how happy I am because the TLC releasing a Talz. I always wanted to see most SW species represented in minifig form and looking at this list I can see how the TLC has done a good job . EDIT: I found the missing specie!!! It is the Clawdite (Zam Wesell). Edited September 9, 2009 by darkrebellion Quote

If I'm one of those people, I'm really sorry, I never meant to be rude to anyone, just give ideas to make this thread better. Back on topic: Don't the B'Omarr Monks count? If Grievous does, so should they, I think. Also, Luminara Unduli's species, Mirialan, is still missing. Quote

ILikePi Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 19. Togruta (Ashoka)Sorry to bother you, but you misspelled Ahsoka's name. I don't really see the point of this topic without pictures of the minifigures, though... Quote
KimT Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Hmmm.... Not sure what to think of this. First of all let me say; Thank you for putting up a list of all the species made into LEGO And to all you enthusiastic members trying to help improve this index - good job. Those of you who think this is an odd topic, just stay away from it. Noone's forcing you to post and a good old saying is: "If you got nothing to say- then shut up!" I am sorry that you think you've grown accustom to rudeness on this board, that's not one of our goals around here. If you guys think pictures would be great, heck then why don't you find those pics and post them here? It's always easy saying what one think needs improvement, but not really doing anything for it. Deeplink them here and the thread maker can consider wether or not to post those pics in the initial post. "Stay on Target!" And who even cares wether or not Ahsokadeahgwua is spelled right? *coughRancorCough*!(BTW It isn't tusken raider but it is just Tusken) Rancor has NEVER been made in LEGO - read the topic please Tusken or Tusken Raider doesn't really matter, does it? We all know what he means. Quote

If Grievous does, so should they, I think. Also, Luminara Unduli's species, Mirialan, is still missing. A brain in a jar? Grievous is a little more than that. To quote myself yet again (): You've put 'Kalesh'. It's Kaleesh. And it should be 'Ten Numb', not Tein. You've missed off Mirialan as well (Luminara Unduli). However, it doesn't look like Oswald saw it either as he hasn't made the corrections. And who even cares wether or not Ahsokadeahgwua is spelled right? There's no point making a list, if the information in it isn't right. If someone doesn't know who Ahsoka is, and they search for 'Ashoka' on Wookieepedia, they might not find her. It hardly hurts anyone to change a letter. Quote

ADHO15 Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 I was trying to make a joke on the Ahsoka sigfig thingy.Sorry if it came out harsh. No, of course. That was just my over-developed sense of perfectionism. As for the list: Neimoidian There are the ray, clam and starfish from the Gungan Sub set. Also, it might be better to give an example for all of them instead of just some. It would make the list more uniform. You could put them in alphabetical order as well, rather than random. Quote

LEGOscum Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 (edited) Yoda was a form of Tridactyl, if that is how you spell it. Tridactyl just means three fingers or toes: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/tridactyl The only canon reference to Yoda's species was in a very early script, and he was described as a Whill which is where Journal of the Whills (the original title of Star Wars) referred to. But this was soon refuted by Lucas, and any background information on Yoda was redacted. Back on topic: Don't the B'Omarr Monks count? If Grievous does, so should they, I think. The B'Omarr monks are members of a pseudo-religious order and not a species. Any lifeform (assuming they have a brain!) can join: "The order originally consisted only of Humans,[4] though in time it encompassed a great many species." http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/B%27omarr_Order Edited September 9, 2009 by LEGOscum Quote
