ADHO15 Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 The B'Omarr monks are members of a pseudo-religious order and not a species. Any lifeform (assuming they have a brain!) can join:"The order originally consisted only of Humans,[4] though in time it encompassed a great many species." http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/B%27omarr_Order Yes. B'Omarr is just the order of monks. It's not a separate species. That one should be removed from the list. Quote
The Who Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Tusken or Tusken Raider doesn't really matter, does it?We all know what he means. Right. I would even call them Sand People, but the average reader can still get the general idea of who I was referring to by 'Sand People.'There are the ray, clam and starfish from the Gungan Sub set. But they are not minifigs, though, as a Taun Taun isn't either. Or is this just all species in general, minifig or animal?Tridactyl just means three fingers or toes:I know, I just read that off of Wookieepedia about a year ago, and it had a picture of Yoda, showing he had three toes. I guess that's better than just saying "Yoda's species," isn't it?Yes. B'Omarr is just the order of monks. It's not a separate species. That one should be removed from the list. And Grevious is partly robot/droid, so are we counting it as his original form, without the mechanics? Quote
ADHO15 Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 But they are not minifigs, though, as a Taun Taun isn't either. Or is this just all species in general, minifig or animal? I know. I saw there were already non-sentient species there like the dewback and kaadu, so why shouldn't they go there too? I know, I just read that off of Wookieepedia about a year ago, and it had a picture of Yoda, showing he had three toes. I guess that's better than just saying "Yoda's species," isn't it? Tauntauns are also tridactyl. Does that mean Yoda is a tauntaun? Yoda's species is the accepted name in the SW universe. It should stay that way. And Grevious is partly robot/droid, so are we counting it as his original form, without the mechanics? He's still organic as he has organs. If he's organic, he must belong to a species. That species is Kaleesh. In the same way, Darth Vader is still human. Quote
The Who Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Yoda was a form of Tridactyl, if that is how you spell it.EDIT: Plus there's Mynocks. Tauntauns are also tridactyl. Does that mean Yoda is a tauntaun? Yoda's species is the accepted name in the SW universe. It should stay that way. (See quote at top of post) Form of Tridactyl, it just narrows it down, doesn't specifically state the species' name. Apparently I fail to accept to call it Yoda's Species. Somebody needs to make a phone call to George Lucas... Quote

That's the official name Lucas gives every one of the million times he's asked, so that's what it should be. Quote
The Who Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 I know. I was only joking. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I mean if Yoda wants to be a Taun Taun, let it be. Minds do wander in old age. Sorry for off-topicness, I'm done now. Quote

Rocky Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Thank you for making this guide. I don't believe there is one on any other website. I'm trying to think of a species you missed but none come to mind. Good job, I think you have them all. Quote
ADHO15 Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 There are the ray, clam and starfish from the Gungan Sub set. Also, it might be better to give an example for all of them instead of just some. It would make the list more uniform. You could put them in alphabetical order as well, rather than random. You don't like my suggestions, Oswald? Not that there's anything wrong with that. I mean if Yoda wants to be a Taun Taun, let it be. Minds do wander in old age. I'm trying to think of a species you missed but none come to mind. Good job, I think you have them all. I've made sure of that. Quote

I guess that's better than just saying "Yoda's species," isn't it? No, because Tridactyl isn't Yoda's species. It's not ANY species. If you accept that tridactyl is Yoda's species then human needs changing to pentdactyl. Quote
