Posted September 11, 200915 yr I bought some LED diodas, and I'm on a way for a new light solutions in my works. Here is the vignette: This is the technology behind it:
September 11, 200915 yr You find a really nice way to add something special to your moc. The first picture is fantastic ! The moc itself is also great, packed with full of details. I really like the white little puppet, is it from the new Lego games ?
September 11, 200915 yr You've created some amazing atmosphere using the LED! Fantastic and richly detailed!
September 12, 200915 yr Very cool. The MOC itself is pretty cool but the LED completely changed it. Looks so much better ... w/o the LED you might have to let in more light to be able to see the MOC but now you can get the right atmosphere.
September 12, 200915 yr This is really neat! All the stuff on the way gives it a dark, cluttered feeling to it. Where, might I ask, did you get these wonderful lights?
September 12, 200915 yr Wow that magnetic light realy makes it come to life, and your moc is just great.
September 12, 200915 yr Really nice MOC. I did the same thing with my wizards crystal ball, there is a pic of it in the "post your army" thread. I did, however, add a 1kOhm resistor and used two AA batteries instead. The light has been on for weeks and show no signs of fading. It's 1$ solutions like these that really makes me wonder why Lego charges 17 euros for two little LEDs and a battery box.
September 12, 200915 yr Wow, really nice! The glowing crystal is really atmospheric, and that voodoo doll is pretty darn cute as well.
September 12, 200915 yr I agree with the other posters here, the light really puts this MOC over the edge in terms of mood. It has a certain "real world" feel about it, and the details you built into the hut only make it better. Good job!
September 12, 200915 yr Although the LED is the main point of the MOC, the techniques used add to the effect
September 15, 200915 yr Great effect and so easily achieved too - nice one Z Zadar! Strong lighting like this adds so much to a scene; I've used an Exo-force light brick to light a fireplace in one of my MOC before, but it wasn't nearly as intense as this. In future I'll probably try this out. Thanks for sharing your technique
September 16, 200915 yr Wow - that's a great MOC. I love all the details, and the way the light "presents" the room to us, is so great. It really makes this perfect
September 16, 200915 yr I like this a lot. The hut is nicely detailed and the light in it adds a lot of realism. I think it is possible to use those lamps in the interior of my ship. Probably I'll give it a go! Nice job!
September 16, 200915 yr Oh My Gosh. That brilliant. The picture has such a cool feeling to it. That is a great idea, I am bookmarking this thread.
September 16, 200915 yr This is great. The MOC itself is nice with lots of detail but the lighting effects are tremendous. I see this and I think of all the endless possibilities. I'd love to see more.
September 16, 200915 yr Author Thank you all for your comments, this is very encouraging for me. Yes, I guess it's nice hut, but what I really tried to do is to investigate the possibilities of in-MOC light, and learn how to make photos of it. Surelly, I will continue to work with it, mostly because it's very easy to use (very cheap also), and gives great atmosphere to creation.
