Oky Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 (edited) Yeah, I have such dreams too, where I am in a toy store where I find sets that haven't even been heard of. Or sometimes I dream that I get a whole bunch of Lego gifted to me. But I always wake up before I can open them. One of those dreams included Disney/Pixar sets. I guess some dreams do come true. These dreams always make me feel pretty geeky/childish but it's good to know I'm not alone. Edited September 13, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
Peppermint_M Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 I had the PaB variation too. That one was much worse. There were rare elements, new elements that the unknown depths of my imagination had dredged up. I went wild only to discover the price was half what I had expected. It was great. I got the parts home and sorted them all out, made new figures and had a great time. I woke up fully expecting to go into the loft and admire all my new Lego. . Quote
Wily Manc Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 What a nightmare! I once dreamt that I'd walked into a toyshop and found individual Star Wars Clone Troopers on sale the episode II figures which are really sought after - loads of them in a box - £2 each. But I only had £4 on me, so I could only get two! That was awful. When I woke up I was still really anxious to go home and get some more money before they were all gone! I had a dream like this once that I found a tub of old Lego on the street leading to my house. I also recently had a half dream half awake thing where I was I minifig walking around my city display. That one was pretty cool. That sounds amazing!! Quote
brickzone Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Well, after reading this topic yesterday, what do you know but I ended up having the dream about finding Lego sets last night. Except in this case, the sets were all ordinary run-of-the-mill stuff and the excitement was that they were sale prices. In a reflection of reality, I had to browse all round the store looking for any toy section at all and was about to leave when I saw just one end-stand of Lego. Anyway, it beats dreaming about my thesis content which during my waking hours is all-consuming at the moment - when that changes I'll know I'm pushing it a bit much to finish it up! Quote
allanp Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 (edited) Ive had dreams about finding old MISB sets in a shop a few times. The sets were always slightly diferent tho like the 8868 having the suspention from the test car but being a dream, I didn't question it as if that was how the set always was. I also once had a dream (long before I heard of an actual lego shop) that there was an actual lego shop close to where I live. Some years later, to great delight, one actually opened close to me for about a year or two in the Birmingham Bullring. YEY! Edited September 14, 2009 by allanp Quote
Milan Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Hahaha, great dreams! I found myself in almost all of them. I think I had 15 or more dreams about new parts, new sets etc. And all of them were fail. I always wake up realising it was dream But these dreams are funny Quote
user Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Once I had a dream that I won the Sandcrawler for free and it came with about a dozen Jawas! That same night my sister had a dream that we got new neihgbors and they gave me 2 sandcrawlers and a wookie catamaran and they gave my sister a horse! But sadly I do not own 3 sandcrawlers and 30 jawas. Quote
prateek Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I had a dream where I walked into some random store and saw the 2010 Tri-Droid Fighter for $10 and just Ahsoka's fighter for $14 Quote
JCC1004 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I had one the other night. I believe It was a TRU. They had some older sets from Star Wars. The only one I can remember is Bounty Hunter Pursuit. There was also this tub that had most of the Bounty Hunter figures with some lime and yellow bricks for 73 bucks. Lego is even overpriced in my dreams! Quote
ILikePi Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Sorry to revive this topic, but I had a dream about LEGO in the morning. It was in the LEGO Store. My mom had taken me there to get a certain set, which I don't remember. For some reason, there was a huge yellow and rectangular table in the middle of the whole store. On the inner part of the table, there were some sets on display, and on the outer part there were some LEGO sets. I looked around, and something caught my eye: two new sets! They were a mini train and a mini model of a mountain with a tunnel cut into it. The only thing I remember was that the boxes were impulse-set sized and that the mini train either had a dark green and pearl gold color scheme or that both sets had some purple in them (purple mountain, isn't that weird ). There also was no theme on the box, just the LEGO logo in the top left. I asked my mom if I could get them, and she said that I could if I did not get anything else on that visit. The thing that I wanted was pretty big, but I never saw or heard any rumors of the sets, so I agreed. Then my mind just skipped the purchase of the sets and the drive home, and I showed the sets to my brother. And then I woke up (), but quickly got over it. I actually don't understand why I dreamt of this. I'm not a fan of LEGO trains (except for the Emerald Night, but I like all sets with that type of box), and I have never owned any. Quote

These sound really cool! I like the idea of a whole microscale train layout. May have to do something with that. I mean... I'm not stealing MOC ideas from your dreams. What are you talking about? I had another lego dream recently, though this time I was buying a set that actually exists (Medieval Market Village). Not so exciting, but still pretty awesome. Quote
