MOC: The Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System

About last summer, I made this model for a online contest. (Didn't win, the judges weren't taking my bribes.) But I still came away with this neat model:

It's my shrine to the excellent videogame Portal. (Wikipedia link) If you haven't gotten a chance to play this game you should. You won't regret it.

If you need more photos, or higher quality pics, the model is still intact so I'll see what I can do.

...the trippy thing is that I only just finished watching (not for the first time) a video of the end song, "Still Alive". I then check EB before bed and find a GLaDOS MOC!

The incinerator is a nice touch. She's quite hard to make. Personally I would have made it all bigger for detail reasons, but I'm not sure if I could do a better job. I might have to give it a go!

Unfortunately, I didn't have enough bricks to make the model any bigger. I did consider making the entire room shes housed in, but I was finished with half a wall before I ran out of bricks. If you look closely in some of the pics you can see where I had to mix gray and bley (do they still call it that? I'm a bit behind the brick slang.) parts to make the columns.
