Millacol88 Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Not bad, but it's supposed to be 50-70 pieces. Quote
ADHO15 Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Not too bad, Burman. However, as a rule, battlepacks shouldn't include figs from both sides, and should only include generic characters. I'd recommend replacing Count Dooku with another clone trooper or generic Jedi. Good luck. Quote
VBBN Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 I can only find 25 pieces by counting...? In any case, it's nice, although as said before Dooku is a bit out of place. What is the strange head on the Jedi Master? I've never seen it before. Quote

What is the strange head on the Jedi Master? I've never seen it before. I know. It doesn't look like 52 pieces. You know figs don't count towards the parts number, Burman? That's Dobby's head, from the Harry Potter theme. Quote
Millacol88 Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 I can only find 25 pieces by counting...? Your right, now that I count, there definitely doesn't seem to be 42 pieces. In any case, it's nice, although as said before Dooku is a bit out of place. What is the strange head on the Jedi Master? I've never seen it before. It's a Dobby head. BTW, I agree you shouldn't have two sides in a battle pack. EDIT: 1500th post! I'm on the internet too much! DOUBLE-EDIT: ADH is a quicker typer than me. Quote
Oky Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Not bad, but not great either. Dooku shouldn't be in a BP of course, and it's better to keep a BP focused on one faction, so you should probably exchange him with another clone or jedi. Also, the platform the clone is standing on seems somewhat pointless. If it had some kind of play feature, like a catapult mechanism or a secret compartment or something, it would be much better. This needs improvement, but it's a good start. Quote
Rocky Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 (edited) It seems like many people are puting main characters in battle packs. I think that a battle pack should have one force instead of two in a battle scene also. As recently said you might want to try and fit a few more pieces in the set. 42 is very low and it is suppose to be between 50-70 plus figures. The battle pack is a good idea though and shows a lot of creativity. I think it would look nice beside my geonosian one. With a few touch ups it will look great. Thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest. Edited September 13, 2009 by Rocky Quote

ADHO15 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Thanks for all your views so far!! You might want to read and take in some of our suggestions, rather than just saying that. None of the above posts were completely postitive. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Tsk tsk. I don't believe you about the piece count, someone should inform KimT. Second, main characters are never in battlepacks, but I'll give that one to you for the good job with the Tarkin-Dooku. i really do suggest you put some pieces in here, or show me something I'm not seeing or this will be disqualified. Unless KimT doesn't care. All bow to him. Quote
Palms Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 no way is it 42 and even if it is thats to low as it is Quote
KimT Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Rules Of Entry: 4 Minifigs - brickbuilt minifigs counts a minifig (no more, no less). 50-70 Parts (minifigs not included). Custom minifigs and accessories allowed (Brickforge, Brickarms and so forth). No clone brand parts (megablocks, blocko and so forth). No baseplates (or large parts like BURP). S@H-like Description (check the descriptions on shop.lego.com for inspiration). Own motivation for creating set (why these figs and accessories?). Max 5 pictures from different angles - One of which should be a box diplay/image. Please include a link to off-site folder with more pics or higher resolution pictures (optional). Max picture resolution is 800x600. No large parts - it's a Battle Pack and should resemble existing BP's in size and contents. Only one entry per member. 'Real' entries only - no digital entries. Entry has to be a new MOC. A little hard to spot wether or not this is actually 50-70 parts. Plus you need to add your motivation for making this one and the S@H description is a little vague as well. Also I find it rather improbable that we'll ever see a character (Count Dooku) in a BP. Nevertheless it's good enough and I wish you the best of luck in the voting. Quote
VDOWNING Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 its cool, but in a battle pack count doku? i bought 1 battle pack 3 times and if you buy this more times you had an army of count doku. its only a hint. (dont see my grammar, i had a 4,7 on Enlisch) Vincent Quote
