Hi everyone.

Like many that replied to ADHO15's review of the new Promo 30005 Speederbike, I felt it was a little too squat, so I thought I'd see what I could do to improve the matter.

The result:

speederside.jpg

It's certainly longer, and I think I succeeded in making it look more like a proper speeder. I used all the pieces from the set, except the dark grey 'exhaust' cone, and only pieces from the set. Plus Stormie can now grip the handlebars, woohoo.

If you like it, don't like it, or can see a way to make it better, let me know. If you do like it, it's easy to do (took me about 10 minutes) and I won't insult your intelligence by posting instructions!

Wow, Rufus! This is way better than Lego's version. I like the dark wood background too- gives it a "foresty" feeling. Stormtroopers don't seem as slim as Scout troopers (the helmet's fault most likely), it's it's funny that the Stormtrooper now has a less slim speeder too.

Really good work, if I ever got one of these, I'd change it to your version.

That's my dining room table, the only free surface to hand!

Thanks everyone, glad you like it. :classic:
