Where to buy Soldier's Arsenal (8396)

So I have been looking for this set for the last couple weeks and I can't find it anywhere. I even went to TRU (ugh) and neither of them near me had it. Worst case I will order a few from the lego website but I would much prefer to find a local store that carries them and pick it up. I live in central Texas if that helps. Could anyone let me know what stores they have seen this in locally (preferably in the states) so I could check them out.

Unless it's been re-conquered by Mexico, I'd say that Texas is in the U.S.

No conquering yet lol, yes I am in the US. I know there are places I can order online and in fact I would use the lego shop before amazon but I was just wondering if maybe you guys knew of some shops that might carry it that I hadn't thought of yet.

edit: target, walmart, and TRU are the only places I have been able to find lego pirates so far and none of them have the pirate impulse sets. TRU sells some impulse sets but not pirates.

Well in Minnesota I can get them at 3 places...

1) the Lego store in the Mall of America- there are 3 Lego stores in Texas, so if you are close to any of them, that would definately be your best bet. I have probably purchased 25 here and there from the Lego store there.

2) TRU. I would NEVER buy the impulse sets at TRU... here in Minnesota they impulse sets are priced at an insane $6.99... (instead of the expected $3.49). At $6.99 they are priced the same as the $1.00 TRU over priced cannon battle, which might be a better deal (5.99 at Target/Wal-mart around here for cannon battle).

3) RURAL Wal-marts. I live in an urban area where I have NEVER seen an impulse pirate set, but I have had some luck finding the newer impulse sets at RURAL Wal-marts. I have never seen one in a Target or K-Mart. I do not know how each Wal-mart selects their stock (for example, every store may pick from inventory lists or maybe they have specific inventories based on size and location etc, though I would guess each has some say over their stocks) but what they stock is NOT very consistent in MN.

closest lego store is dallas and thats a good 3 hours away but there are some rural walmart stores I could try out thanks for the tip.

I bought all my Impulses at Lego stores when I went home on leave, via S@H, and I found 1 at a Wal Mart about 5 months ago. There's 5 or 6 Wal Marts near me, but only one of them had it, and only once :-p

well no luck but I did pick up a Kracken Attackin so it wasn't a total waste . Guess I'll order it through shop at home at least that way I can pick up some extra bricks while I'm at it. Unfortunate they don't offer pirate minifigs.

i got both impulses from lego stores.

ive only seen the city impulses though (and cannon battle is way better value)
