Oky Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Maybe you haven't noticed, but brickipedia is about as reliable as the Lego Message boards. That date is obviously bogus. The sets are apparently already popping up, and they will probably be available on S@H by March 28, considering the catalog with the PoP sets in it is released on that date. Quote
CMP Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 The sets are apparently already popping up.... Where? Unless you mean that eBay thing. Quote
Jack Bricker Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I just talked to a clerk at ToysRus and she said that they do have the sets on order in their system but, that they haven't got a release date yet. I do think that the sets will be coming very soon though if they have them on order at all. Yipeee! Quote
Etzel Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Where? Unless you mean that eBay thing. They were sighted in a store at the Kastrup Airport in Copenhagen according to this post. Quote
Oky Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 They were sighted in a store at the Kastrup Airport in Copenhagen according to this post. Ah, thanks for the link! That's what I was talking about earlier. Where? Unless you mean that eBay thing. Yes, I mean the "eBay thing" and the post Etzel linked to, plus their presence on TRU.com. Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 It seems that the Prince of Persia line will not be sold in Germany, or at least not over regular toy shops. Various shopowners on www.imperiumdersteine.de wanted to order the sets, but weren´t be able to do so. It is still possible that the line expands to a TRU or Galeria Kaufhof exclusive like many Star Wars sets, or even S@H exclusives like they do in the UK with Space Police. http://www.imperiumdersteine.de/showpost.p...p;postcount=130 http://www.imperiumdersteine.de/showthread.php?t=17512 Quote

Why would Lego not release a line in Germany at all considering that Germany is Lego's biggest consumer and not that far away when you compare the distance from Denmark to Australia, US, Mexico, etc.. I agree, that is weird. Maybe LEGO don't want to release Prince of Persia there YET? Or something? Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 May it's to do with the movies release date or a sealed deal with a German retail chain or maybe some other reason that could be political or whatever ? I'm a conformist! everyone ! Quote

Anyhow, it's definitely strange if Lego don't release the PoP sets in Germany. Release date of the movie can't be the issue: German release date is May 20th, and a full week before it will open in the USA. I can imagine German fans getting angry over this decision, even if the PoP sets will be available at the German Lego stores or on S@H. I'm looking forward to these sets, and I certainly hope they will be available in the Netherlands. Quote
Ricecracker Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I can confirm that the LEGO store in Coppenhagen Airport has all five sets in stock currently. I'll try to have a review of Ostrich Race up shortly. Quote

Jack Bricker Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 (edited) Hey guys,I just found 3 prince of persia sets on ebay now! Here is the link http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksi...-All-Categories A bit too pricey for me Yeah, we already knew about them but, thank you anyway. Yes, they are a bit pricey. I could almost fork over the money but, then I remind myself that they will be on the shelves in just a couple of weeks so I just can't justify spending an extra $220 just to get them two weeks early. gunm Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Wow, that was fast. So much for the "email notification" system. :p Quote
Pellaeon Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I'm seeing Quest Against Time (7572) and Battle of Almut (7573) in stock at toysrus.com again. None of the cheaper sets are available, unfortunately. Quote
Shadows Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Don't forget ladies, your local Licensed Review Index needs those sets, so get snapping! Quote
gunm Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Must restrain myself from ordering Battle of Alamut right away...must wait...until movie...comes...out...at least... Quote
Jack Bricker Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I will be checking every ToysRus store in my area tomorrow. Hopefully one of them will have it. Quote
FilmGirl27 Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Interesting, Dastan seems to have escaped the factory... If anyone gets the Ostrich Race please do a review! Quote
Edmond Dantes Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I'm seeing Quest Against Time (7572) and Battle of Almut (7573) in stock at toysrus.com again. Jack Bricker Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Well, I called every ToysRus in my area and none of them had the PoP sets in stock. I am not sure if I want to go to all of the trouble and extra expense to buy them online just to get them a few days early since I will be waiting for the shipping. Quote
CMP Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Sucks that I'm only getting one of the sets released personally...at least here in the U.S, they're in stock. Got to check my nearest TRU ASAP FTFAPOPLS. (For the freaking awesome Prince of Persia Lego Sets.) Quote
