Admiral M Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 you come up with all these lovely ship sets but forget... the Interceptor! Thanks, but I did include the interceptor- It's between "Rumrunner's Isle" and "Tortuga"- And it's quite similar to the ship you discribed, except I did not include the play feature (though I should have). You forgot the three SW style battlepacks Yep, but there would probably be five, and those would be between waves 2 and 3, when all the factions are revealed. The battle packs would be: Character (Jack, Will, Elizabeth, Barbosa, Governor Swann) Redcoats Pirates East India Trading Company (bloody murdering basterd blackcoats who issue a statement of marshal law at the beginning of the third movie and kill half of Port Royal's residents for acts it deems unfit) Davy Jones's fish-people ( ) Quote

Yep, there would be a lot more BP's for the later movies, I was only doing the ones for COTBP - ones for DMC and AWE would have to include the ones you mentioned as well as Sao Fang's Singapore dudes. Admiral M Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 *thwacks himself on head* Sorry 'bout that, I'm in the middle of a major Spanish project, mind not firing on all cylinders at the moment. That's ok, everyone is like that sometimes. And yes, they should release BP's at intervals, like with Castle. Megabloks have already come up with pirates of the Caribbean so I doubt Lego would ever get the license. This could be quite profitable for LEGO, so I think they might buy the license. Megablocks's Pyrates isn't doing so well, so they might sell the rights to lego. Anyway, it's mostly wishful thinking. On to WAVE 2: Escape From Kingshead: The island prison/fortress , controlled by the EITC, in which they do all of their less-than-legal deeds. Includes Kingshead Gate, the ramp leading up to it, a dock, and a hanging cage. Includes Jack, Pirate prisoner, and 2 EITC soldiers- $20 Kraken Encounter: The turkish fishing vessel (civilians, hint hint) that becomes the first victim of the kraken. Incorperates the ship bow and stern pieces of the Viking Longboat. Has a single mast with a large triangular sail, along with fishing nets, barrels, and crates. As for the kraken, it is made up of 4 sets of 4 interlocking segments which can be posed at different angles and are long enought to wrap around most ships. The set includes 3 turkish fishermen- $25 Cannibal Village: Includes the beach, several trees, 2 native huts, Jack's throne, a fire-pit, and a rowboat. Native's huts have removable roofs and detailed interiors. Includes Jack, Will, Joshamee Gibbs, and 3 natives- $50 Fort Charles Extention: Includes 2 towers and 2 wall sections- one with a jail built into the side, the other with a colonade. includes 3 cannon, Jack, Will, Lord Beckett, Elizabeth, 2 redcoats, and 2 EITC Soldiers- $60 Tia Dalma's Shack: Tia Dalma's house on the river. House is built on stilts, with a removable roof. Interior includes lots of voodoo items and mysterious junk. Includes a rowboat, Jack, Will, Joshamee Gibbs, and Tia Dalma- $30 Shipwreck Encounter: A wrecked ship built on a 16x32 baseplate, surrounded by wrocks. Built by SNOT, it includes the upper deck of a ship that is partially submerged and surrounded by rocks. Includes 2 sailors, Will, 2 fishpeople and Davy Jones- $40 Beckett's Office: A 2 story house, similar to MMV. On the first floor, there is a small barracks. On the second, there is Lord Beckett's study, including a desk, a world map, and a door leading out to a balcony. Includes Lord Beckett, Elizabeth, and 2 EITC Soldiers The Millwheel Duel/Davy Jones's Heart: Includes the ruined mill with detachable wheel, several palm trees, a chest, and a dinghy on a tan 16x32 baseplate. Includes Jack Sparrow, Will, Elizabeth, John Norrington, and 3 fish-people- $50 The Edinburg trader: The merchant ship (civilians, Hint Hint), that is brought down by the kraken. 2 masts (one big, one small at the stern) and one midsection. The deck can be lifted up to reveal the cargo hold. A tan stripe runs the length of the ship, from Bow to 1 stud from the stern, where there is a yellow captian's cabin with large windows. Includes Will, Merchant Captian and 3 sailors- $60 The Flying Dutchman: Includes 10 guns on 4 midsections and a high stern. Similar to the Black Pearl in size, but with important details like a brig, captian's cabin with organ, tri-barrel carronades at the bow, and a barricuda prow. Incorperates Characteristic high stern. Includes Davy Jones, Will, Bootstrap, Jack, Elizabeth, 4 Fishies, 2 pirates and 2 EITC Soldiers- $220 Quote
Andre1983nl Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 The is an other company what make bricks that vits on lego bricks and there are POTC sets Quote
Swash Buckler Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Would be great if happens- maybe 2011 when next Potc is planned to be released. Lego have disney licenses now. Nice ideas but what is this thing with "Shanghai" You mean Singapore or is it sort of inside joke that I don't get- i made one of my own set ideas to be a moc (with scrappy custom figs though) http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/157261 The fact that Megabloks did Potc stuff don't in any way prevent lego from doing it- Lego did Spider-man before they sold rights to the MegaBloks- now Lego have Disney licences... Swash Buckler Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Megabloks have already come up with pirates of the Caribbean so I doubt Lego would ever get the license. Hey why do they sell licences to the toycompanies- to get money- and when Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer films decided to selll their Prince of Persia licences to Lego instead of Megabloks (Both are the same companies in Potc and in POP!) it is because they believe to get more money with legos- and why? Legos are better it is no even matter of arguing- so when On Stranger Tides comes out (if it will) Do they sell their licences to Lego or Megabloks there is no question (if Pop legos made more profit than Potc-blocks- at least i am going to buy them- great parts- camel! ostrich! Dark Tan!Persians!- even though upcoming Pop movie will probably not be very good ) Quote
Big Cam Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 As much as these all seem like a dream, I feel this could really be a possibility. Maybe this is the real reason the Pirates line got cut off after coming back so briefly. LEGO knows what makes money and I think they should capitalize on this, I would definetlay be more encouraged to collect the PoTC sets as opposed to the regular pirates sets. I'm sure there are others like me as well. Of course I'm sure there aren't, but only time will tell,. Quote

There will be at least one set of Rockband theme and game- did they do Jack Sparrow looking new hairpiece with bandanna(as it looks in a magazine- don't know if they gonna made that to be actual piece)) just for that theme i don't think so... Still there is no clear evidence of any upcoming potc line- but i would definitely like it... Quote
Voodoo Hand Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 rather not mix the main pirate theme with pirates of the carabian, but i guess some things in the movies may be nice to add... Quote
