I'm guessing the baseplates for the family home are two 16x32's judging by the other pics, wonder why they didn't go for just one 32x32?

It's quite common in the creator house series (I believe 4956 is the only one with a 32 x 32 baseplate) as well as in the modular building series. Packaging or availability issue maybe?

Wow, that new Creator house looks really great! I still have to get myself the other two smaller LEGO Creator houses. Actually, I don't own any of the nice Creator houses, but I really would have the smaller ones. This is just a must get! I think I'll buy one for the blue slopes and pieces, and one for the build itself. Awesome.

Yeah, Legal pics. :thumbup::tongue::classic:

I like it very much that there is really a dark blue roof on the house. I also like the appletree, the lawnmowner, the basketbalring and the tan windows.

Great design.

The Family House (Apple Tree House on the box) looks absolutely wonderful! I can't help but say "drool" out loud every time I look at it

I am so pleased with the added small details in these recent creator houses. This latest one will look fantastic next to the other creator houses in my very young - but very quickly growing town layout.

Love that new Creator house, I didn't buy the one form this year because it was too expensive and I didn't want even more red slopes. The dark blue roof on this however is great, and even tohugh I'd still prefer a tan building the white is great. I probably won't get it unless it is cheap and on sale, but definitely a great winner for 2010.

Wow, these Creator sets are looking good!

5687 Super Speedster doesn't look that good to me, but the 4WD alternate model is very nice.

5866 Rotor Rescue's color scheme and design is great! It looks very sleek and modern at the same time.

5891 Apple Tree House is amazing! The dark blue roof ( :cry_happy: ), red garage, lawn mower, and basketball hoop are very nice details.

And the fact that there are alternate models for all three sets just sets the icing on the cake.

I can't decide if I'll get Rotor Rescue and Apple Tree House or not. There's just too many good sets coming out next year!

House - Well, I'm not a die-hard fan of Creator houses, but this one looks quite nice, what with the purple roof and all.

Helicopter - This is, by far, the coolest Creator set I have evar EVAR seen. EVAR!! And in Midi-Scale too! ;)

Car - *HNRRRRG*

Wow, I really like the new house! Definitely the best house I've seen in a while.

This is probably the only set I will get that I've seen so far for 2010... I've gotta start scaling back my purchases now.

awesome! i might buy some of these! im usually a strict castle, pirate, and space collector, but the family house has some nice design to it, and could easily be MODed into a red coat's house (this is because the roof color is the same as whats in the soldiers fort set).

the red car looks cool too, and might be useful in some stopmotion, but i cant tell if its minifig size... i read some reviews of the older models that fit in with this sub-theme and apparently they're not figure size either. plus, this one has more pieces than the other 2 and has a bigger front to it.

although with my space, castle, and pirate budget, i dont know if ill have enough for these kinds of things.

The Apple Tree House is a vast improvement over the 2009 Family Home. The color scheme is fantastic and I really do love the blue roof. I will pick up 2 of these in order to modify the set better to my liking. One of the models will be great for a beach scene too and could go right next to the beach house in a town layout and maybe nearby would be a home for the Paradisa beach sets. I am very very pleased with the new house.

This one is 10-wide (the previous two were 8-wide) and these Creator sports cars generally are not 'high' enough to fit a minifig inside. To me the cars are only useful for parts when on clearance.
