Carbohydrates Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) This one is 10-wide (the previous two were 8-wide) and these Creator sports cars generally are not 'high' enough to fit a minifig inside. To me the cars are only useful for parts when on clearance. Yup. Although it's pretty easy to mod the green one to fit a fig, they still don't quite sit up straight. On the bright side, I did that mod using only parts that came with the set, so that's cool. edit: I have a certain soft spot for that green Creator car because it was my first set comin' out of my dark age. Svelte Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Mortymore, thanks for these lovely hi-res pics! Quote
Milan Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Pictures really looks great. Thanks again, Mortymore! Quote
Mortymore Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 There's no need to thank me. It was my pleasure. I can only feel good if I can contribute with something for a community that gives so much. We are all here to share... so that's only what I did. Best regards Quote
Batbrick Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Awww man, a Joker Car!? Now I wish I had gotten that set! Great stuff by the by Carbohydrates. Batbrick Away! Quote
cottonwood Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 (edited) 5891 - Apple Tree House Pieces : 539 Price : $44.99 Month : January Hmm, as I recall, the Beach House set from 2008 had a very similar number of pieces. It was also nearly half the price! Jeez, these prices are getting unbelievable. Sure, it looks like an awesome set, but probably not of the same caliber as 4996! Edited October 14, 2009 by cottonwood Quote
The Cobra Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 The beach house has 522 pieces, RRP was 30 Euros (for Italy, now it's 31), and was often to be found for a few bucks less. Quote
BlueBard Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Mmh... that 5891 would be very easy to modify for a City modular display. I think I've had a little idea Quote
Legoist Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 I'm glad they keep releasing new Creator houses in this price range. It's better IMHO to have 30-40e houses than 60-80e houses, and then let the fans buy 2-3 copies if they want to design bigger models. BTW, how common are dark-blue roof pieces? This is the first time I see them! The overall color scheme looks very nice, although personally I have plenty of white bricks already so I would have preferred a different colour for the walls. I don't judge the price until I see the parts list: the 4996 Beach House seems more convenient but has more than 100-120 pieces which are actually 1x1 plates, round plates or tiles. Quote
Raphy Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Guys, no offense, really - but if you think that red Creator car is nice, you really, really don't know how to build cars . . . . Quote
prateek Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Guys, no offense, really - but if you think that red Creator car is nice, you really, really don't know how to build cars . . . . Well, it's good for a Lego set Quote

Badsneaker Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Wow I just stumbled on this post I love the house. I will definitely be getting this for display and probably 2 or 3 for parts! Quote
prateek Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Check out Model Team and you'll change your mind. I'm talking about in recent years Quote
captainsamus Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Purchased 5865 at TRU today, here are some pics! They also had 5864, the mini creator copter, but I didn't buy it nor did I snag any pics. It almost looks like a mini version of the Creator Cargo Copter, but with only 2 blades on top and no cargo hold. Quote

Skipper 24 Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 New box and set shots, some are the alternate models. I hope they're all new and higher res than we already had, I never browse this thread and wouldn't really know. Quote
def Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 5891 looks amazing. I'll have to pick it up! Quote
steele Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 If you want pics of the alternate models of 5867, I could take mine apart and build them... Quote
Steel Dragon Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 No one has mentioned the blue baseplate release! I know the baseplate has been available before, but they're rare enought to be pricey on Bricklink... as a Pirates lover I can't wait to pick some up and actually have some ocean to sail my ship on! Otherwise, I echo the sentiments towards the Appletree House, especially on the lawnmower. The car and copter look nice, as well as the minis, but I've never been one for the figureless vehicle sets. As a parts pack, I -may- try and find a helicopter on sale... but I won't exert too much effort for it. Quote

Ondra Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Any informations for 2H sets creator and racers sets? Quote
The Cobra Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I think it's a bit too early. Sets usually show up some 6 months before release (and in February, toy fairs are held). We just need a little more patience. Quote
darkmoonlady Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Is 5891 the Apple Tree house now available places? I keep seeing sets here and there on Ebay from different parts of the country. Any official word that its out early and if so WHERE!? I want one or two or three..hehe Quote
