Is 5891 the Apple Tree house now available places? I keep seeing sets here and there on Ebay from different parts of the country. Any official word that its out early and if so WHERE!? I want one or two or three..hehe

It is available, it just seems hard to find. I'm getting a bunch of 2010 sets on the weekend, and was pleasantly surprised to find out it was available.

That Apple Tree House looks awesome. I'm really happy about the blue baseplate since I've amassed plenty of boats but nothing to really put them on in any sort of set up.

Yay! I scored an Lego 5891 Apple Tree House at Fred Meyer here on sale for 35.99, pretty good deal. I saw it on the shelf and gasped, luckily I was with my two best friends who are also AFOL's as well. They got their Lego fix today as well, they found Lego brand storage bins. I'll post pics soon of the set and of the bins, I only got a large bin and a flat bin, they got a stack set that was really cool.

'Darkmoonlady' could you be kind and do a review for all of us, thank you.

I would like to see if this would go well next the family home of this year.

I'm a newbie here and haven't done a review tutorial yet, so not sure I am permitted to post a review yet.. As for going well with the Family Home, I just built that one as well and this new house is I would say more "sporty" in it's main color choices of blue, white, red and tan. I'd say they compliment each other, although this house is smaller and so the overall footprint of the house makes it feel less like a house and more a small cottage. Oddly one thing I noticed about the design is that the wall of the garage is open to the rest of the "living space" with no inner wall so it is sort of strange. I love this set however and plan on picking up another one this week for parts as I'm gathering resources for a Magic shop MOC, and need the roof bricks.

No one has mentioned the blue baseplate release! I know the baseplate has been available before, but they're rare enought to be pricey on Bricklink... as a Pirates lover I can't wait to pick some up and actually have some ocean to sail my ship on!

Otherwise, I echo the sentiments towards the Appletree House, especially on the lawnmower. The car and copter look nice, as well as the minis, but I've never been one for the figureless vehicle sets. As a parts pack, I -may- try and find a helicopter on sale... but I won't exert too much effort for it.

A new blue baseplate is great! But I'd really love to get a large white baseplate!!!

Nice to see the return of the blue baseplate, I've never really understood why Lego don't release this standard size square baseplate in other useful colours, like, white, brown, beige instead of just green and blue. I'm sure this would be popular with the AFOL market. How useful would white be for a ski resort, brown and beige for building sites etc. And surely not that difficult to make giving the molds etc must already exist, just a matter of adding different colour plastic granules?

Not sure if these baseplates are injection molded or vacuum formed/thermo formed?

The only other slight cheapo part about the creator house although it looks great and will be on my 2010 purchase list, the 1x1x1 brick with hole which is used to put the pin into for the pivot point on the garage door, they could have made it in white rather than grey :-( guess they did not have any of those currently in production?

Different sets come out at different times in different countries. The only trouble is when they don't show up at all in one nation.

Just have a little patience.

Will the Creator Grand Carousal be around in Lego Brand Stores in Late August 2010? Can anyone guess? I'm really looking to buy it.
