Then it wouldn't be Kranxx anymore, would it? If they are going to the trouble of making a new mold, I don't think they would base it so closely on the existing Kranxx head.

100% agree with you, CP5670. I suppose there is a slight possibility it's the same species as Kranxx and Rench, but the eyes look too low and the two mandible like things on the bottom of his face are too far apart.

What the heck are guys going on about? It's clearly a normal minifig head with Indy's fedora (to me anyway). :sceptic:

Nah man, look at the head. its too wide and it has two little spike things at the bottom, kind of like the Skull Twins teeth(no, before anyone says something I'm not saying this is a skull twin).

All the Limo is doing is reusing bits. :sceptic: Skellie head, Star Wars Rodian Senator torso.....

Yeah, Prelim, Prelim.....

Purple fedora.

Purple fedora.

PURPLE FEDORA.

PURPLE FEDORA!

PURPLE FREAKIN' FEDORA!

Precisely

Or maybe It's jut printed on :look:

If I haven't said this earlier, I would like to announce that the orange shirted baddie is presently my least favorate alien. It's really lame looking, and I wish it had been a more inventive look, or atleast have a different color shirt. I really would have liked a white Frenzy recolor! :sing: or an Insectoid nod, like Rench is to blacktron

Here's the roll call:

Red Skull Twin

Purple Space Pimp

New Mold Alien

I'm still sort of sad that the normal space police are gone, but the commandos are awesome.

Or maybe It's jut printed on :look:

I heavily doubt it, normally prints don't hang off the face. They aren't painted/printed on, they look sculpted on.

Has this been seen already?

No...

:cry_happy:

I used to think that the SP base sucked, but from that angle it looks  !

I do have a problem with the random yellow though :hmpf_bad:

I also think that the limo should have more turquoise like it does in the picture, but that's okay.

We already knew there wouldn't be any turquoise this year; it wasn't on the 2010 color pallette LEGO revealed. Anyhow, I like the limo in that it sort of manages to adhere to the color scheme of the Smash'n'Grab. Helps to unify the bad guy things, even if they're not nearly as unified as they were with last year's black-bley-red color scheme with trans. neon green lasers and trans. black windshields.

I would have loved a primarily teal set, but purple is always good too :classic:

If someone has the Limo and Smash'n'Grab, they would make a great gang. Squidtron and Pimp, the ultimate team.

We already knew there wouldn't be any turquoise this year.

I didn't :cry_sad:

I agree that the Limo has a similar color scheme to smash and grab, finally TLC has discovered that Purple is a spacey color!

However, I'm not quite sure I like the new addition of orange, If it were gold it would be better, (Yellow would be better yet) and the skulls on the limo's wings would probably be better white, but that's just me. I wouldn't mind the orange as much if that one motor piece on the hood was turquoise! I also noticed that the wind shield on the limo is trans-yellow, just like Squidtron's. Despite it's many faults, the limo is my favorite of the newer 3! The base is good as well, but what's up with the yellow bellow the dome!? If anyone was there and saw the set could you tell me what it's supposed to be? I think that the red/orange skull twin is awesome, but I wish that the mask was either a new mold or a recolored Slizer's helmet, because the Skull Twins' helmet seemed unique to them, where as Slizer's was just a spiky helmet, but I also see the use for the head as a Sycorax.

Maybe a cargo bay or something.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Use a red Snake helmet and that would've been the perfect opportunity to bring back the trans orange visor from Ice Planet.

So no teal, but there are other rare colors - how about a sand blue spaceship?

I'm starting to see more potential from the Police base. I'm happy that it looks to be sitting on a 32x32 baseplate with a 16x16 one at it's side. Still not completely sure what to think of the overall design, something seems lacking ... but it's really not fair to judge it too strongly until better pictures surface.

I've got my fingers crossed that the set ends up being a winner, as I have a soft spot for space bases and I'd be only too happy to add another epic one to my collection.

*Edit* - Is it just me or is the yellow and black door below the base made up of sliding garage door pieces placed vertically (so that it slides from side to side instead of up and down)? Extra design points from me

Yea it looks like you could be right :sweet:

That's a really cool feature. I like it.

I don't think it is, it looks too thick if that makes sense. Plus there are inverted slopes.

If you look at the picture of the box, you can see the groove that the door slides along. It also makes sense that it's a garage door as that would account for the difference in the amount of exposed area between the box picture and the display one (on the box it's open more and less is exposed, on the built model the door is nearly shut and thus more of it is visible).

Umm Why? :hmpf:

Anyway these sets look really interesting though I do hate the yellow in there the base looks nice!

The yellow is so out of place, I just hope it is some sort of prototype idiosyncrasy.

Oh, why thank you! I always wanted a perfectly usable Brick-forge link in the middle of an active thread about space police! :sweet::hmpf: I may be vegetarian, but this is some quality SPAM!!

Yes, a good color for it would be white or one of the many transparent colors that SP3 uses often.

The yellow color does look really out of place. It looks as if they built the police station on top of a derelict Blacktron 1 outpost. I like the station otherwise though.

The new SP3 base, is probably something, or even my first Space set, after a long time. I love the structure of this new base, and it kind of reminds me of the old Space sets with those big glass displays.

Oh, by the way, about CloneCommanderXD's unusual way of posting in his last post, please kindly ignore it.

Thanks. :classic:

Blue and yellow go together, when your eye sees one they look for the other.

Yeah I don't get that either, it's from a design and art classes I took.

The black and yellow is for CAUTION! and alike.

Anyone noticed that the undercover cruiser can transform.
