Lordofdragonss Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 (edited) I see that all new three sets have purple squidman... And the base one have Capitain Ackbar xD Edited December 25, 2009 by Lordofdragonss Quote
General Magma Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Looking at the new pics, the orange guy may be another Frenzy, if you look at its height. Looks all very nice so far. ~ General Magma Quote
RocketClone Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 (edited) It seems odd having a rover like that on a space city with hover-cars and spaceships right there. Edited December 25, 2009 by RocketClone Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 It seems odd having a rover like that on a space city with hover-cars and spaceships right there. well, It's probably easier to crash a haver car than a truck, plus it adds to the diversity of the sets... ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
LEGOMAN132 Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 (edited) 5984-1: Lunar Limo I thought that set looked like a Limo. Edited December 26, 2009 by LEGOMAN132 Quote
The Alchemyst Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Looks like the far left one is the Undercover cruiser, then? Doesn't look very undercover to me. >.> Quote
CMP Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I think that cyan alien with red cape might be Squidman or some new color of him, the purple alien in the limo, I think he is the limo driver, you know, not a criminal, just a civilian, who looks like a new mold. The red one in the station is a red Frenzy or red Skully. I don't plan on aiming for the station. Quote
Darth_Legois Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Hmmm after seeing the smaller pics I was hoping the Space Limo was a new Blacktron ship (It looked black with a little yellow/green ) But I guess not, Oh well. I'm not really interested in these newer sets, Although the Limo looks good for parts. Quote
Forresto Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I really like the Sp cruiser and the limo sets but i'm not to sure about the base. It's really hard to tell details on it so I don't know what to think but i'm looking forward to seeing the bulbous headed alien in it. Quote
Xenophilius Studz Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 I think most of next year's SPIII is awesome. I might pick up the Space Police Central and I am going to get Smash n'Grab. I'm pretty impressed with my only 2010 set, Raid VPR, I could get more of those. Sadly, I was hopping the limo would be a Black Hole Gang/Blacktron III Flagship to compete with the Galactic Enforcer. Slightly off-topic, but I got three Space Police sets for Christmas, including the Raid VPR and the Galactic Enforcer, my new favorite large spaceship I own. Quote
Kanaju Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 The Undercover Cruiser dosen't look very undercover Quote
Oky Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 (edited) I was thinking the same thing. In fact, it's a big honkin' space cruiser which would stand out among civilian vehicles quite a bit. I guess we'll have to wait for the S@H description to find out why it has that name. Edited December 30, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
KDog Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 (edited) I'm not so sure I'll bother with those two new ships, but I would like to see more detailed images first. But that base... I can tell just from that blurry pic that it is a must-have. I love the idea of the central storage space for the prison pods. Oh man, between this and those minifig collections, this is gonna be an expensive Lego year. Edited December 30, 2009 by KDog Quote
LEGOMAN132 Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 In the 5985 HQ it looks like a gold or bronze Skull twins hemet. Quote
hewkii9 Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 In the 5985 HQ it looks like a gold or bronze Skull twins hemet. I'd hope it's actually tan - imagine all the Doctor Who aliens you could do with it! Sycorax, Ood, Sensorites... Quote

Delta 38 Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 The cyan alien appears to be another recolour of Squidman, in my opinion. In the Lunar Limo set, the purple alien also appears to be a recolour of Squidman (I think I see one yellow eye, and part of another yellow eye on both sides of the head), with part of the vehicle sticking across his head, I think. The "eye" on the left might actually be part of the vehicle, so it might be a recolour of the shark included in some Atlantis sets. The orange or red alien in the Space Police Central set looks like a recolour of Frenzy to me, mainly because the eyes don't exactly match those of the Skull Twins, and unless it's a new mould, then it fits Frenzy best. Quote
Forresto Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 (edited) To be honest the bulbous headed alien does'nt look like frenzy's or one of the skull twin's helmets but instead a new mold. It's seems to have black beady eyes and a huge red bulbous head with yellow markings on it. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Forresto...73bfd917_bf.jpg Did anyone notice the robot in the middle of the box art?or the fact that the set looks like it comes with five minfigures? Two are definitly new since they are featured on the front in the bottom right corner and one is a police officer. That means we have two mystery figs unless the robot counts which means one one mystery figure. Edit by WhiteFang: Preliminary image is not supposed to be deeplinked inside Eurobricks Forums. Dannylonglegs Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 (edited) Nice eyes, I agree that the Alien doesn't look like Frenzy, and I'm sure If I actually looked I'd spot that Robot too! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Edited January 5, 2010 by dannylonglegs Quote
Corvus Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 The red one looks like a fish... but that's all I can tell. I can't see a robot, though. Quote

I thought the markings were eyes. On second thought, the orange alien now reminds me of a squid or something. I guessed it might have been frenzy from the supposed "eyes". Quote
General Magma Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 The HQ will likely include 5 minifigs. Two are the new aliens, the orange one in the top-right of the box on the vehicle, the other in a prison pod. One is orange, the other is cyan-colored. Other than that there'll be a SP Commando, the other fig MIGHT be another SP team member, I guess there'll be a robot too. But better pics are needed to see what's exactly in there. ~ General Magma Quote
Oky Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I don't see no robot, and the one alien still looks like an orange skull twin to me, but I guess all these mysteries will be solved in due time (i.e. Toy Fair). Until we get some better pics, feast your eyes on this Behind The Bricks look at the SP animations: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">I always start drooling when I see footage of of the Lego model shops! I wonder if he can keep the bricks he got from there. If so, I would have come out of there with all the boxes I could carry. What I really want to know though is how the heck this guy got the honor of doing these animations for Lego?! (Not saying he doesn't deserve it, but I really would have wanted to do it. ) Quote
