I'm pretty sure that this is it... after all, they released 2 small MM sets during January of its second year, and then another full summer lineup, so I think we'll see that here, too.

Hey I'd be happy with that, as long as the series goes out with a bang and not a whimper of two admttingly very good, but still msall set.

I don't know. I have a hard time believing that Lego would re-design the helmets and alien torsos just to end the line after two sets. It could happen, but I think we'll be seeing some more stuff come out.

Very good point, this definitely gives me a bit more hope for the line to continue, as it would be odd for them to do that.

LEGO said their classics are City, Castle and Space, so Space Police is not ending.

The Space sets this year were released in the summer, so next year's sets will be released in the summer.

Exactly. They almost always have a Space theme going, and they usually last for three-four years. They wouldn't get rid of SPIII and replace it with another one so soon.

The Raid VPR's price/piece ratio is FAIL. The Smash'n'grab looks good, though. I tend to like the baddie ships better than the police ships. :vader:

Wow, I really love the new helmet!

Yeah it is grea,t and I can think of many uses for it; Space Police, Post-Apoc, Motorcycle helmet, badguy helmet etc. It'll be featuring in a few of my mocs for sure.

I think it's a good replacement for the old gas mask helmet that can be found in most of the city fire sets. It would be pretty cool to get one in black for use with some of my hardsuits.

I like the Squidtron's aircraft(like all big machines of space gang),however the small police VPR is awfull, like all police vehicles(except galactic enforcer and the vehicle from gold heist). :alien:

Like others have said, I think that it's pretty unlikely for LEGO to end SPIII with two sets that seem to be hinting pretty strongly at future releases. I am liking the look of said sets, too; more purple!

And does anybody remember the much-maligned Mars Mission? In it's second year two smaller sets were released in January, followed in June by some of the theme's strongest sets to date. I think Space Police will do the same thing. Don't worry, we're not through with this yet.

(and even if we are, maybe that means M-Tron 2 is on the way!)

Oh I would love it so much if TLC updated each classic space theme, that'd be wonderful, I'd want to see the return of Insectoids, but with real insectoid heads! :cry_happy:

lets just hope we don't get a jellie commander in every set

Lol. Well, if there's one thing that everybody here can agree on, it's that SPIII's aliens are a million times better than MM's. They don't even compare.

On to the two new sets... actually I like them a lot. The Raid ship thing isn't too impressive but the small size and valuable pieces make up for that. The big purple freighter is AWESOME though. I love the design and the fact that it comes with a space ATM. If I buy any LEGOs next year, it'll be that one.

The ATM is just one of those inspired Lego touches like the chicken leg in front of the troll pulling the wagon. I really hope TLC takes advantage of this theme to bring about things that aren't strictly Space Police vs Blacktron. The Pitstop was getting there but I'd love to have a neutral vehicle being hijacked or something.

Equipped with twin flick-launching freeze-ray blasters, the Space Police’s Raid VPR super-pursuit spacecraft is ready to chase down any criminal in Galaxy City. But when Rench comes to town, the Space Police Commando will need all of his hi-tech vehicle’s speed and maneuverability to bring an end to the space-crook’s futuristic crime spree.

Priority one to all Space Police units in Galaxy City. Squidtron has just smashed into the Space Bank and stolen an asteroid ATM – asteroid and all. It’s up to the Space Police commando to stop the space-crook before he gets away in his custom ram-raider vehicle, complete with dual firing plasma cannons, a spiked ramming grill and a heavy lifting crane for escaping with the loot. P.S for smash n' grab

are those the official write ups?

I would love to see more "neutral" people and vehicles in this theme. Maybe even the Ice Cream stand, Diner, or cab featured in the police logs. I would also like to see more new head molds for aliens.

I also would like to see more civilians, but I doubt that it'll happen. I however love their reuse of the old heads, throughing a little more diversity int a diverce cast of creatures. as long as they don't touch Frenzys head (unless they make it black) I'm cool. :alien:
