February 1, 201015 yr First last year's Gallarado, now a police version- what more could you ask for?
February 21, 201015 yr New promos?30030 Tiny Turbo Rally Raider - 30033 Truck - 30034 Tow truck - 30035 Off Raod Racer 2 Does anyone have any more info on these promo sets? Currently, there is only one shop that has them on BrickLink, and they are a hefty 15 USD per bag - way too much. Also, does anyone know about the 30000-series in general? What is the purpose, target market etc? Edited February 21, 201015 yr by superkalle
February 21, 201015 yr Does anyone have any more info on these promo sets? Currently, there is only one shop that has them on BrickLink, and they are a hefty 15 USD per bag - way too much. Also, does anyone know about the 30000-series in general? What is the purpose, target market etc? This is how the set numbers are organized: set numbers 1-9999 are normal sets set numbers 10000-19999 are exclusive sets set numbers 20000-29999 are BrickMaster sets set numbers 30000-39999 are promotional sets set numbers 40000-49999 are seasonal sets all the six number LEGO products are the "extended line" products like watches, magnet sets, keychains, coin banks, tic-tac-toe sets, chess sets, etc. Not sure what these Racers promos are for. Probably Daily Mirror UK newspaper promos again. I don't really care about these though as they all seem unfinished in some way - whether it be the front bumpers or the weird look of the studs that are showing. February 21, 201015 yr This is how the set numbers are organized: Thanks for info on the set numbering ILikePi EDIT: follow up question. I couldn't help but to notice that these SW-sets in the 30000 series are sold in stores: http://www.brickset.com/news/article/?ID=550 . Shouldn't these be 1-9999 series then? Especially since for example this set http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7802-1 is sold in stores in the same way and has a 1-9999 numbering. I'm not sure, but I guess my question boils down to: what is the definition of a promo set (30000 series). Edited February 21, 201015 yr by superkalle
February 21, 201015 yr Looks like Lego forgot to add tiles and cheese slopes. In my humble opinion, I think LEGO designed the promotional Racers sets like that in order to cut production costs. Cutting costs seems to be especially important for "free giveaway" promotional sets because LEGO isn't making as much money off them as they are from sets you would typically find in a store. -Toa Of Justice
February 21, 201015 yr I don't really care about these though as they all seem unfinished in some way - whether it be the front bumpers or the weird look of the studs that are showing. And no stickers. They add a lot to Tiny Turbos.
March 15, 201014 yr Here are the box photo of 8211 and 8214: Does anyone know the background of 8214 box?
March 15, 201014 yr That's got to be somewhere here in Italy, but it's really hard to tell since the pic is very tiny.
March 15, 201014 yr Thanks for the pics, whung! The Lambo Police Car looks really cool so far! -Toa Of Justice
March 18, 201014 yr That Lambo is cool, but I like last year's better because it has a coupe and spyder.
May 6, 201014 yr Here are the box photo of 8211 and 8214: Does anyone know the background of 8214 box? One of LugPol memebers has posted bigger picture of Lamborghini Gallardo (from retailers catalogue) BIG PICTURE I love it :D
May 6, 201014 yr One of LugPol memebers has posted bigger picture of Lamborghini Gallardo (from retailers catalogue)BIG PICTURE I love it :D Thank you very much, M_longer! I especially like the brick-built headlights--much better than stickers. That improvement reminds me of the change made from the Ferrari Enzo to the Ferrari FXX. By the way, would you happen to know what that rectangular thing on the roof of the Police Gallardo is supposed to be? EDIT: Never mind--I just figured out that thing seems to be where the top lights are located. -Toa Of Justice EDIT 2: Oh my...did anyone notice the discrepancy on the door of the big picture? It says "POLIZIA" in the real picture, but it says "POLIZI" in M_longer's pic! I hope that gets fixed! Edited May 6, 201014 yr by Toa_Of_Justice

"Pitstop" Thank you so much for those pics, grogall! I'm glad that LEGO didn't leave out the "A" in "POLIZIA" after all--it seems to have been on a hidden (by the camera angle) panel the whole time. Also, that is an awesome interior! I am looking forward to the set's release even more now! -Toa Of Justice
May 9, 201014 yr That set looks even better than the yellow one last year ! Mega-detail and I guess we needed a police car to chase all those sports car sets from the last few years eh ? Only wish they did a minifig scale one for city, ah well one can dream I guess. I'm a conformist! everyone !

May 29, 201014 yr They have two in real life. One got heavily wrecked last November. And that missing letter on doors, it looks like the real one.
June 2, 201014 yr The Polizia Lambo was one of the "headlight"s at Festa della Repubblica parade in Rome, today.
June 3, 201014 yr Wow, the Polizia is an awesome set! I just finished looking through the instructions, and it's full of neat details all around! I particularly like the refrigerator box in the front hood. The stickers also add a whole bunch to the set! It looks like the designers really went for accuracy, too! There's a hand-held stop sign on the right-hand door, lots of recording equipment behind the seats, as well as the box in the front. This is the first Racers set that I want very badly - it's just so cool! Thanks for the hi-res pictures, grogall! (You can download the instructions here: part 1 - part 2) Edited June 3, 201014 yr by ILikePi
June 4, 201014 yr Wow. Proper headlights, cool gadget thingies, everything is better! The only thing I don't like this that they always make a better version of a car the second year, but they make it a racing/police version with a billion stickers (i.e. Ferrari F430 Spider and F430 Scuderia, and now this.) These two pics are exactly the same angle But you can see some inaccuracies here (the screen, dials, etc...) Edited June 4, 201014 yr by prateek
