Posted September 24, 200915 yr I was just looking at this beauty, and I am wondering why no one has mentioned it! A Lego McDonald's! This would be perfect for any town!
September 24, 200915 yr "Mentioned", as in...? Yes, it's an OK set from 10 years back. Very nice minifigs and classic car design, but the amount of stickers is a put-off. Does it really need a special thread though?
September 24, 200915 yr I did know about this set but isn't it cool when you find a set you never knew existed?! You are right this should be perfect for any town. It reminds me of a trip to Germany I went on - it was the first time I had seen a drive-thru! I just don't like the fact the only things that identify it as a McDonalds are the use of stickers.
September 24, 200915 yr Legoliner Pilot, you need to be more precise with your thread titles. They're either vague or misleading. If you want to discuss the Macdonald's promotional sets, for example, then you should say so specifically in your thread title. Thanks.
September 24, 200915 yr The last thing I need is overwieght figs in my town. It was a nice set when it was relesed but now it's not that great. It's really lacking. The size of the building is . McDonalds food is very expensive in Lego City! Edited September 24, 200915 yr by JCC1004
September 25, 200915 yr I have that set, was pretty cool, I liked the car and 100 dollar green printed tile Now reasons why LEGO will probably not do a set like this again - They have to pay some sort license fee or royalty for using Mc.Donald's brand and logo - Mc.Donald's is a controversial food restaurant because of its food (meat sources, healthiness etc.) - LEGO would not want to represent it in their products because of reason above - They can always make a generic restaurant like they did in City Corner Now Subway is much better
September 25, 200915 yr I'm almost 24 and this set came out when I was in 7th grade I think... so 12 years? I own three of these sets, they were $9.99 each. The McDonald's guy is sticker... ewww.... You need two to make a nice stand alone set, the car is way too small for anything today. The third I have somewhere still it it's box. Honestly I don't even remember where I put it, but I remember a candy melting on the box. Now I need to look for the third set! haha Edited September 25, 200915 yr by The Green Brick Giant

I'm surprised Lego hasn't released a restaurant set yet for Lego City. Maybe they have, but I don't pay attention. I type this as I bight into a Subway Sandwich, by the way.
January 6, 201015 yr I own this set, but it hasn't been together in a while... and the stickered pieces are useless for MOCing besides a blatant MickeyD's MOC. The car was nice though... ~Gargamel
January 6, 201015 yr I knew aout this, I just didn't know it was a real set! Thanks 4 pointing this out, I just learned something new today!
January 6, 201015 yr Are you kidding, this has been mentioned, EB even has a review in the works in the Reviewers Academy.

January 6, 201015 yr Bought two of these from someone in USA a long time ago. I have one still boxed and one as shown below. Fits in nicely between road and train track. January 6, 201015 yr You bumped up a useless thread just to tell me this? Watch who you accuse, I was not the one to bump this old thread, if you look the post before mine was an hour and 40 minutes before me. I was mearly contributing to an active thread.
January 6, 201015 yr Sorry about bumping up the old thread. I was searching for another post, saw this and forgot that I wasn't looking at recent posts... And I've got a bit of a soft spot for McD's, since it helped feed my Lego habit for several years... Steve
